Get the popcorn and the coke (or Bud)!
0233 EU a few days ago, found by a garage picker. Previous owner had bought it 40 years ago for US$ 600 at a garage sale.
    More soon!

Looks like a VERY expensive restoration coming for the new owner.

I assume this was found in Europe??

Was this a car that was known to rest in this garage or a true picker find? It seems 40 years ago would be 1971 and most of these cars were already started to get recorded as to where they rest.

Some "old school" people seem to have known about it, but as every so often, cars that were never really lost sometimes get forgotten too. Best wishes, Kare

That was my first impression as well.

Great to see the car recovered and that it will be restored to former glory.

Would need a better quality photo to be sure, I would think. Mazzocchi was 45 when he bough this car, Enzo was 54. The man in the picture doesn't really look like Mazzochi, and the character, pose and clothing are all Enzo. Therefore I think Mazzochi may have taken a photo of Enzo with his car - but as already said, a better copy would likely make it all clear.

Would love to know the numero interno of the engine.

    Best wishes, Kare

These are the threads that keep me coming back for more. I can't wait to see more photos of the car...and learn how it remained undiscovered for so many decades!

Congrats to the lucky picker AND the new owner.

Plate MI 197153 (post #9) was delivered to (Mazzochi's) Editoriale Domus S.p.a. for 0191EL which had the same front end as the '0233EU' above. The only other 212 Ghia cabrio, 0205EL, had a slighly different front. In addition, 0191 is more consistent with the RHD specs than 0233.
    IMO 0233EU is an over-stamping on 0191EL.
