    am in the market for a handheld CO detector that i can use in the cars. does anybody have any recommendations?

    are you concerned about leaks into the interior? This is the first time I've heard anyone ask for a portable CO detector.

    I haven't used this particular device, but I've used their "Colourtunes" and was pleased with them.

    This unit just measures CO. More professional hand-held units will measure the full spectrum of gases (but add another zero to the end of this price for those)...

    I believe that the marine electronics department on level 3 has what you are looking for. I remember on a friends yacht several permanent ones down below deck and remote monitors above.
