Hey, I've been considering a used 360 in the Dallas area, so I'm trying to find a good Ferrari mechanic to do a PPI. Since I don't live in the Dallas area, I'd probably need someone who could come to the seller's dealership to do the inspection. Does anyone have a good mechanic you can refer? Much thanks...

Not sure James goes to dealerships, I think standard practice is the car goes to his shop.

Thanks, I will give James a call. If he's not able to go to the dealership I'll see what it would take to get the car to him.

You will also get some info if you post a link to the car or possibly search the vin at the top of the F Chat website.
There are two infamous 360s for sale in Dallas right now that dealers are not being forthcoming about. One was airborne, and not in a cargo plane.

Never mind. Just ran search here on the VIN and found another thread about this car. Sounds like it's a POS. I'll keep looking...

You were just saved the cost of a PPI by using this website. Might I suggest that you subscribe for $15 to give back to the community?

I have no skin in the game at all, but this site has saved me more money and given me more information about my Ferrari than anywhere else on the internet. It'll still you help you for free if that's your preference.

Oh yeah, I've made a few friends too, that understand my strange addiction.

Glad you avoided a potentially bad car!

Ok, I'm not an expert on these things but how is it that this car shows a clean carfax given what sounds like significant damage? These guys also have another '00 360 for sale at a similar price...

    Great question.

I know carfax doesnt catch everything, it would interesting to know why.

There is usually an insurance claim filed when it is someting major. It seems like if it was put on an insurance data base carfax would pick it up.

Small stuff is understandable. No claim is filed, the customer pays the body shop direct. If the body shop doesnt report it to carfax then it isnt picked up.

That car at Texas Car Direct is the one that went airborne. A local Nissan dealership did not disclose but when you look at the engine area, it is obvious that something is not correct.
That being said, as a driver and purchased at an acceptable price, it is not that bad.
Question is... has Texas Car Direct been forthcoming about the history and condition?

I'm not seeing a Ferrari at Texas Cars Direct?

I bought my last 3 cars from them, and have sent many people there to buy. I know another F-Chatter that bought his car there last year. They're good guys, and the one problem I've ever had in a deal with them, they did the right thing.

    Hi Jim,
Sorry, you are correct. It is actually the red 360 at Texas Import Sales, not TCD.

Funny there is another thread going on about this car in the 360 section. As long as you know what you are getting ( and below $60k), it would be a great track car... as long as the engine has been reattached properly . When I drove it last December, the back valence was flapping in the wind and the check engine light was on... ( even though i was told it had just come out of a major service at the local F dealership...)

That car doesn't touch all four posts on the lift. Walk away.

Can you point out the 2 and where they are located? I'm currently looking at something in Straightline, but Starwood pretty recommended on looks like.
