jeepers and i find changing plugs daunting on my gt4. really interesting to follow what kind of floor tiles are those on the garage - is it that dimpled industrial shop flooring?

Sorry for the delay. I want to post projects as I finish them, and here is some progress. The frame was very dirty and lots of caked on crease. But no serious rust problems, just slight surface rust. I used some engine degreaser that were not so effective. Surprisingly Simple green worked the best. I then wire brushed everything by hand and a drill that took a wire tip brush. Once everything was cleaned up I blocked some areas with paper and sprayed it with Extreme Chassis Black from Eastwood. Here are some parts that I cleaned up. Everything works, I just want to make it look nice and clean. The horn is a peace of art. The trumpets are made out of machined aluminum. The air ducks were riveted. I used a drill to drill them out, and used a rivet gun to put them back in. I also had a big hole at the bottom of the spare compartment. I used WEST SYSTEM. It is simple to use, just make sure to get a the pumps to give you exact mixture. Otherwise if you don't mix the right ratio, it will never cure. Also get a West Systems booklet that explains the exact proses. I used 3 layers of fiber mat and 3 layers of fiber cloth. The tool that I used to set the bearings in is called: BEARING RACE & SEAL DRIVER SET. You can find these on ebay. Fabulous work and a great garage. From the rate of progress you must be working 72 hour days. Too late to suggest now but the best tip I ever saw on fchat when starting a big project like this was to get a load of plastic boxes from the local cheepo shop and label each one with the relevant WM page number. All the bits on that page go in that box. I wish I had done that. When will you be finished?

Great work and documentation, Sinbad, A suggestion I got from Verell, was to not tighten the a arm pivot bolts untill the car is on the ground. The rubber in the bushing is bonded to the inner and outter sleeve, so if you tighten the bolt at full droop, you will have the rubber considerably preloaded in twist at ride height, (on the ground). This is not a factor with poly bushings, since they are lubed and slide on both the inner and outter sleeves. hth, chris
