    Is this a "member day" event? The website doesn't show much else other than a date. Can anyone attend?

    I did, but if there was anyone else from fchat I don't know who they were. I have some in-car video but haven't been able to figure out how to get it off of my camera yet. Here's a few pics I took. Someone actually took the Audi wagon on the track, even had a passenger in the back. The red 944 started out ahead of me on the track and then ended up passing me! And I got a VERY fast ride in the yellow 934. It made me feel like the slowest driver in the world compared to these guys!

    That might be exactly what I need! I can see the video on the camera. I can plug it in and get the pictures off. One short video clip where I was testing the camera will transfer to the computer. The other two longer ones where I was driving keep looking like they transfer but the file size is 0 and there's nothing there.

    as usual, a bunch of Pcar guys and no Fcar guys at a track day :rolleyes:

    stick with it Zoph, even fast drivers on the street are amazed at the speed you can drive on track. you'll get used to it.

    (ps: when you pass everyone in your group in a session, it's time to move up :D)

    I was supposed to attend, but I had trouble making it back in time after attending a wedding out of state.

    I am glad to see that there was a decent turnout.

    welll, it was only Pcars because it was a client day for the place that services my car, and they are Porsche specialist.

    Here's my video from in the car, which is a lot more boring to watch than the driving was.

    I wonder if there is a way to filter out the wind noise from this video.

    I'm sure there are a few folks that can chime in on how to prevent/minimize the wind noise on future videos.

    I know, that bugged me when I played it back. Here I was thinking I'm recording all the engine sounds and mostly what you hear is wind. I also was hoping to get more of the road and less of the interior of the car so maybe I'd have to put it on the windshield.

    what configuration was functional? The whole track looks to be a "phase 2" thing. What kind of amenities were there?

    Also curious about the amenities. Any gas pumps at the track? I'll be racing there New Year's Eve with NASA, which I think is the first planned event for the track. Wondering if I need to bring enough gas for 3 days. Keith, are you racing at that event?

    Zophie, we need to work on those hands, too much shuffle steering. Keep them at 9 and 3 while on track. :)

    I thing you guys have these tracks confused. This event was held at Circuit Grand Bayou in Belle Rose, not the new NOLA motorsports park in Avondale.

    I was confused, too. Awesome how many tracks currently exist. No racing for me this weekend, although it would be tempting to fly down and check it out. Most of my race cars await engines - going to give BLOTUS one more try this season
