    Well said..

In regards to Ego's hmm I assume most Ferrari owners are very passionate about these cars, I think it is only natural when someone is posting false misleading information about the car we might post a reply to rebuttal the misleading information, I wouldn't mistaken that for Ego.

On a separate note so many new Scuderia owners on the forum, seems the Scuderia is the car to get and it seems like a great price for many to enter the game and start enjoying the car. For anyone still thinking about pulling the trigger buy the car, drive it once and I promise you that you will be wondering what took you so long and will not regret your purchase.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia Buyers Guide. Please feel free to post info about actual cars for sale, sold, pics of your Scud etc. (Ideally, please also post info about prices paid)

** Refrain from conjecture about future prices as much as possible. We can all agree that they will depreciate, level off and then maybe some day...appreciate.

Lets collectively do our best to help current and future owners make informed buying decisions.

Owners, please post your comments with a pic of your car.

    I will start:

    2009 430 Scuderia
    Acquired: 09/11
    Paid: $202,000
    417 Miles
Factory extended warranty for another 18 months.
    MSRP: $303,000
    Image Unavailable, Please Login

What "false information" are you referring to? All I do is post info. / prices from the major online selling sites? 430GT's pricing guide has been extremely accurate so far, so I don't see that misleading at all?

This thread title has already been changed.
Someone repost this 430gt's pricing guide. I've not seen it.

I've only seen references to 15k scuds being worth 160k from you guys using this guide. LMAO.

I'm sure 100's have sold at this price.

Mattyrae weren't you also in the CS Market thread claiming several CS's selling well below 120k as well? It's a pattern.

Lovely car, 417 miles for the previous owner was criminal. Enjoy. Are we including 16M's? Don't want to highjack if not wanted. Listing colour, options etc would also be very interesting.

I think it might be redundant since the info is already in this thread, and it has been renamed. I was confused at first, anyway...

There is only one Scud for sale with over 15k miles, and the asking price is aprox. $157, so yes less than 160k. It is an FCA car though. We don't see many for sale with that many miles, so this is all I have to go on.

At the time, yes, there were a few higher mileage CS's for sale around the $120k mark and below, so that is why I posted that. Nothing was incaccurate.

I have been following the Scuderia market for 4 years, and I stepped in as soon as I could, best car decision ever.

I do help and support actual buyers, people that are on the market for real, my advice is not just about prices, but about things to look at when buying a Scuderia. I have done this for a long time, via emails and PM.

I'm glad that I could help a fair number of new owners in the past 2 years, and none of them have regretted getting this amazing car.

$350k or less don't buy a better car than the Scuderia for what it does. If you want a track day car, street legal car, that provides a deep experience to 4 of your 5 senses (we don't eat or taste cars), and does so reliably, this is the only choice. Feel free to post other choices, and I would gladly point out why they're not as reliable as the Scuderia, or provide the justification on why they don't produce these levels of fun on your 4 senses. However, if your concept of fun is restricted to 0-60 or 1/4 mile times, then yes the ZR1, F458 Italia and others are more fun that the Scuderia, eventually you will need to brake or turn.

    Brett !!! Congratulations.

    You'll love it.

There is some minor setup to be done, to extract vastly better performance out of the Scuderia, at which point it brings better performance numbers than supposedly faster cars like the Z06, F458, Superleggera, GT3 RS 3.8, 997 GT2. Ferrari left too much on the table with the Scuderia setup.

Quick question: Carbon fiber package is included in 2009 Scuds, are the side skirts carbon fiber and painted red?

    Thanks!

yes..the option in 08 US carbon package was standard in 09. And the sills are NOT CF....the CF sills were an option along with a CF engine cover.(someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong)

BTW, anyone have a pic of the $24k CF engine bonnet on a Scud? Would love to see what that looks like....

Are you trying to sell me on one?
I've had my 09 from new and put most of the 8k miles on it well excluding my wife driving it.

Great advice from experts (e.g., Rad) to novices (e.g. me) means more peace-of-mind and enjoyment down the road. I can honestly say I shopped and bought with more confidence because of F-Chat threads and members providing sound guidance / advice on pricing, popular options, what to look for in a previously owned Scuderia, how dealers sell, etc.

Now I'm benefitting from guidance on how to extract the most out of a Scuderia!

    Cheers,

    DL

    Thanks for all your help!

As far as, "You'll love it," I already love it. Your advice is especially appreciated both from the Porsche world and now here. Your comments and input were one of my main influences to get the Scud.

Yes, I am chomping at the bit to hit you up on advice such as alignment, ride height, tire pressures, springs, wheel offsets, pads, etc., etc. I am starting to bookmark a lot of threads.

I figure I'd better throttle myself while I get used to the basics. I don't even have a 17mm hex socket yet. How can I take anything apart?

Can someone verify the MSRP for a base (i.e., zero options) 2008 Scuderia. I'm trying to recreate my car's MSRP, and I know my options and prices, I just want verification on the 2008 base MSRP.

NADA has it at $277,456. Is this correct?

My insurance company is asking for the car's original MSRP. Not sure why it matters, but anyhow...

    Thanks,

    DL
