    I recently broke the ignition key in the switch. While trying to get the switch out of the dash I popped off the rubber trim grommet which flew into Never-Never Land.
    Does anyone have one or know where I can get one? Rutlands backordered it 6 months ago and I haven't heard from them since.

    Actually it has a retaining ring that goes on from the other side of the dash that catches on the two feet. But, it looks like you need to either remove the dash to join them or remove the lock assembly then join them then put the lock back in? See parts 13 & 14 below

    LOL! I am now laughing at myself. Of course you have been there and found it easier to just glue it on. I get it. Thanks I will take your advice. What kind of glue does the best for this application?

    I'm just reporting what I found in my car....sorry if that was inaccurate.

    I'll check with Ricambi over the proper retainer system.

    I guess over the years someone put it back in wrong.

    That's a much later parts diagram, my cars don't have dash logos.....I'll check my diagram from 1978 and see what it says..
