Yesss im like 20 minutes away. I drove 30 minutes yesterday to roll my fenders in. I have no problem driving down to longbeach. Ill give them a call I just called and they close in one hour. Sweeeet thanks u have no idea how thankful i am.
Excellent! Glad you made it in time. I love that place. Makes me want to buy some giant truck just to be able to go into AP Fisher and pump my own 5 gallon pails of oil.
Bought 4.......... and done driving for about a week. Ill pick up the other sometime this week. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Job is done. Just made a little mess. Thanks guys for the help and awesome support m5guy with the redline local address. Im just over the min line so i will need a splash more. Nevertheless on my way to watch happyfeet. Cheers
Silly question; having not performed any services on my car yet (only had it for a few months), does the gear oil above look particulartly "dirty?" I'm wondering what I should or should not be looking for when I do my next fluids exchange. To my untrained eye it looks pretty gunked up, but I'm using that translucent red coloring as my starting point.
The lightning is off, It has more clarity then what the photo depicts; though not clear enough to retain. Job took about n hour. Removed left airbox and used a loooong funnel to fill. ohhh and as others have stated.... please remove the filler plug 1st before draining. I had to use a breaker bar and luckily did not harm anything other then my shoulder
Good stuff, I hadn't thought about the lighting. I certainly hope that fork was clean... Have you noticed any difference in feel with new gear oil?
Have not driven it as Im just above the "min" line, I should have purchased an additional quart. I'll keep you updated once I make the drive down to long beach to pick up a quart. Watching a fresh coat of oil swirling its way down the funnel into the gears and cavities gave me so much self gratification and piece of mind, not to mention saved few hundred dollars doing it myself; that I can use towards the next upgrade. Ohh and forgot to add. Bypass valve is normalized and no check lights noted at this time. I guess flashing the cpu's would be required if running with a open valve. I must tell you it sounded MEAN!!!! I'll wire it open and make a vid clip like the one I posted. I live in front of staples center and with the current LA auto show I cant tell you how many photographs have been taken by the tourist as I drove out my building with a ROAR!!! If your in the area I stay at the City Lights on Fig building I'm always open for a drink or 2 or 3 after 7pm to chit chat.
If it was not Redline in there before, or another comparable good oil, then yes he will notice a difference. I don't know what was in my 348 when I bought it (certainly wasn't Redline), but as soon as I switched it to Redline I noticed a significant improvement in shifting.
