Sarasota Cars & Coffee - Holiday Toy Run!!!

The December edition of Sarasota Cars & Coffee will be one to remember forever. We have partnered with our regional section of the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots foundation and will be adventuring on a 65 mile road rally to benefit the less fortunate children in our area.

Immediately following Cars & Coffee (10:15 am sharp!) on Saturday December 3, 2011 we will depart Suncoast Motorsports and head out east of I-75 for a morning of traffic-free, spirited cruising. Maps with the driving route and directions will be handed out to each car the morning of Cars & Coffee. This is a fun event, with no police escorts, so we advise all drivers to participate at your own risk and please obey all traffic laws.

Since we have partnered with the Toys for Tots foundation we are asking all attendees to please bring in at least one unwrapped toy donation for an underprivileged boy or girl. For safety measures toys MUST BE UNWRAPPED! Donation amounts are up to your discretion but please be generous during this holiday season.

Once the rally is completed we will end our adventure at the Country Pancake House and Restaurant in Lakewood Ranch. Drivers and their passengers are not required to stay for brunch, but keep in mind, the food is fantastic! A large menu of diverse options will have your mouth watering. Tell everyone you know about this great cause and try to get as many people involved as you can. We do not want to exclude anyone. All makes and models are welcome! Wear your Santa hats and Rudolph noses and fill your car with presents for someone who appreciate it more than you know.

It's a charity fun rally. Anything is allowed. As long as you don't have to push it. 65 miles might be a bit of a haul...

 

P.S. the drive route is awesome. I did it in a fellow F-Chatters 360 Spider. Lots of long flat runs and some crazy twisties thrown in too. It's gonna be a lot of fun

 

It should be. I'll be needing to ride along as well to take some photos. We've got some guys coming down from Tampa and over from Daytona for this one. Hoping to make it big. Charity events are better than anything else.

 

Yes please do! We want this event to be as big as possible with tons of donations!

No idea to be honest with you. I'll be moving into a new apartment on Thursday so I'll be pretty busy all weekend. Check out Siesta Key Village down by the water and grab a drink at one of the bars. Probably the only excitement going on.

 

I'm hoping we'll have people early this month. It varies week by week. A few months ago we had 20-25 cara by 8:30. This past month we had 12 or so cars roll in at 8:45 all together. So you never know
