    Hi Doug,

I purchased it, it's vin # 7575 there is a bit of history about it in the 330 vin registry. I have been looking for one for a while, and Derek at Ferrari of Denver found it and he dealt with them and it's on it's way to Colorado.. I can't wait ;) I see you own one and same year as mine, any tips you can give a new owner?

I paid $8,600 for one back in the day and couldn't give it away, it took be over 9 months to sell it at a loss, pretty sure it was $7,500. ha ha ah lol

    *UPDATE*

Here are a few photos of the evening that my "new" 330GT arrived. Western Transportation did a splendid job seeing to it that my car was transported safe and sound...along for the ride was a fully restored 1912 Rolls Royce Ghost heading to the west coast!

The car arrived the night before Thanksgiving...Derek told me that the trucker called on Tuesday and said he offered to deliver the car on Friday since he wouldn't be able to make it until after FoD would already be closed for the holiday but Derek told him that I was really excited to see the car and that he and I would prefer to take delivery on Wednesday, no matter how late we had to stay.

Derek called me around 5pm and told me the trucker said he'd be there around 6:30pm, I was about 20 min away and said I'd come over right away but Derek cautioned that he'd be surprised to see the truck arrive exactly when they said they will and told me to hold off at least an hour or so before heading over.

I arrived to FoD around 6:30pm and literally two minutes later was the truck carrying my Ferrari! :) Here are the photos, sorry for the quality...btw, the guys @ FoD played a trick on me in photo #2, they secretly asked the truck driver to pretend the hydraulics on the trailer stopped working as he was lowering my car. He told me he couldn't raise or lower the ramp anymore and that my car would have to stay there until he could get it fixxed and since the next day was Thanksgiving he could'nt have it repaired for two days! Oh well, you can see my expression in the next photo when the guys let me in on the joke :)

that looks very nice, classy car. During the '08 crisis there was a silver one on ebay that I think sold for $110K that seemed very nice, sorry I didn't leap at it.
in '86 I looked at a 4 headlight car I saw in an R&T ad. $12K I believe. I looked at it in VA and drove it (first Ferrari I drove) but was about to get engaged and feeling serious-minded. So I passed. Within 12 mos the late 80's collector car market started to explode so I had plenty of time to regret!

Rachid, that is an insanely beautiful car. Maybe the prettiest four-seater ever. Congratulations!

Thank you guys so much, the 330 is still in service at FoD, making sure it runs at it's best in this altitude, plus with the snow and all I want to get it when roads are perfect ;)
I'll make sure to film part of the drive when I get it and post it on Youtube.

I was at the Russo & Steele Auction in Jan 07 when it traded.

I understand the last owner put alot of work into it before Premier helped him sell it.

Looks like a nice car.... enjoy and looking forward to seeing some photos of it on the road.

My starter is starting to be problematic... time to take SN 8523 into the shop. Wonder if a modern starter is what I need to do and just keep the original in a box. Any recommendations of best modern starter to go with?

    Doug
