Bought Guiness Black Lager today. I'll report back with my thoughts this evening. It must be popular, I got the last one.
Well I dropped the ball on this. It was pretty good. Has a hint of guiness but not what you would expect. I say try it.
I was hat a Beer Festival last week end and tasted several beers and also blended beer flavors, like cherry, raspberry and honey. But honestly: Pure beer is much better! the flavor disturbs the good taste (and I say this is a woman *haha*)! I think UK has the best beers, followed by Czech beers (I visited a brewery there, this was a great experience)!
Picked up two cases of that myself some time ago. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is out now. One of, if not my favorite, seasonal beer.
A new discovery for me Friday was La Fin du Monde by Unibroue GREAT stuff http://www.unibroue.com/en/beers/la_fin_du_monde/#/serve Sampled the above post's Tatra recently also, mmmm
Best beers: Little Valley Moor Ale, England Thwaites Liberation Ale, England Timothy Taylors - Yorkshire , England Black Sheep - Yorkshire, England Doom Bar, Cornwall, England (although been bought by Canadian brewery so expect prices to increase and quality to decrease). Moratti, Italy Palm, Belgium Kwak, Belgium Brugse Straffe Hendrik, Blond, Belgium Westvleteren 12, Belgium Bells Hopslam, USA Three Floyds Dreadnaught Imperial IPA, USA
