I have read and read the forum on o2's but many of the posts are older so was looking for some "freshing" up. My 348 is running great right now except one issue. The idle is right at 1K when first warmed up but goes up after a little bit.....to around the first mark over 1K. Sometime it will go even a little higher. If I shut the car off for a little bit, it starts the whole process over. I reset the system (unplugged battery) and it seemed to have helped but the idle still goes up to just under the first mark over 1K after driving for a bit. I occassionaly get a 1-4 light when the car is first started. I had the cats checked and they are good. I have no vaccuum leaks that I can find and everything else seems good. I believe I may just replace the O2 sensors thinking these are my problem. First off...any other ideas? Second....what are the best O2 sensors for the money? Thanks guys and sorry for another post that covers existing posts. I just want to make sure I am not missing any new O2 info or deals on sensors.
It is a 1991 TS. Is this normal for the idle to fluctuate up and down this high. If so....that would be great. No work needed!!!!! LOL Thank you.
You can get a pair of universal Walker 4 wire O2 senors for less than $90. You have to splice onto current plugs, but they come with instructions and fittings. Even comes with a little packet of anti-seize compound.
