IIRC here in Germany you can only get these buckets in wholesale food stores, where usually a business license is required to shop.

Had an insanely delicious nutella crepe in Venice a month back....kids had a bite of mine and ran back to get their own....Funny how when I was a kid we'd bring it back from Italy like it was the Holy Grail, now Costco sells it...

Is it just me or does american Nutella taste different than european Nutella? Maybe I'm just going crazy.

Never had the European stuff. Is it better, worse, or just different?

I think european Nutella is mysteriously better. You can also get it in glass jars.

There was a video with the differences between French and German Nutella, not sure if it was posted here.

But, the french ones are thinner so it's spreadable on crepes and other pastries. The German one is thicker because of the breads they put on it. I'll post a link if I can find it.

It's like driving a Ferrari at speed, except in spreadable form. ;)

It's very creamy, rich and chocolatey with a hazelnut finish that just leaves you in elation. Great with Nilla Wafers.

    got this from their website...

Nutella® that is sold in the U.S. market is made by our manufacturing plant in Canada. Other Ferrero plants that produce Nutella® are located worldwide.

Just tried some nutella in my protein shake. Didn't work all that great, chocolate overload with the protein powder I use.
