Well, I got my remote cloned, I have the orig. red and two black spares.

Everything seemed fine till I tried the first black one, a few presses and nothing - then it unlocked, locked and now the alarm is fully going off and there is no stopping it - I can lock and unlock but it keeps ringing and flashing the lights no matter what remote I use -

I have disconnected and re-connected the battery - just keeps right on ringing.

Please tell me there is a solution here.

Make sure both hoods are fully closed. Doors and all that stuff. One of the door/hood sensors might be bad telling the computer it's not fully closed. My 2 cents.

It may be in "panic alert" mode. You may have to manually use your key to enter your PIN code.

    OK, I got it.

somehow the thing got into a panic mode, I held the transmitter button down and eventually it stopped.

My car came with only the red remote. Can I have this cloned? Hate that I have just one remote (and one key).

Yes, I had the exact same scenario.

I had my remotes done by gobble, I bought a new one an he had on to sell me as well so now I have three, I also bought a second spare key and third which is an Enzo replica.

It is important to note that since it is a rolling code system, the clones will not work until you press the button sometimes up to a hundred or more times to get it in sync.

I finally feel secure with the car now since I do not have the PIN.

Gobble is a member so the link to pm him is in the member list - you might want to read some of the previous cloning threads to understand whats proposed

You can look up the cloning threads in the technical section.

I have nothing but great things to say about Mark (Gobble) - he is fantastic to deal with - a true gentleman!

One of my major concerns with the car has now been solved!

    Thanks Mark!!!

This may be a silly question but did all 355s come with a remote? All I got was 1 key and that's it. Is there a way to get remotes or am SOL because I do not have an original one?

Yes - if you do not have a remote how exactly do you start the car ? Every other 355 needs to have the immobiliser/alarm disarmed using the separate fob

Guys, ONLY 96+ needs a remote - if you have an early 2.7 car then the remote is only for the keyless entry, not the immobilizer.

On a side note, now that I have a spare remote - I could actually add a remote starter to the car...

Thanks - I stand corrected & learn again - Treedee3d is a 95 hence no immobiliser type remote
