The best stands are Brabham (1st corner) or Clark/waite at the back. You can get 4 day passes that rotates between the stands tho these sell out 1st. Actually just checking they only have 1 option left. Even tho it is a 4day event no F1 cars on the Thursday so really it's a 3day event. Buy your tix thru this site http://www.grandprix.com.au/ if you get them before the 31st of Dec you get "silver passes". The only other option is getting corporate tix but you would need to spend min $1500 each but that includes food/drink. The best locations in the city are hotels around Spencer St or Flinders St as you are a close walk to the free trams that take you to the GP(approx 10-15min ride) as well as the Casino and everything else. Also Spencer St station is where the shuttle buses from the airport drop you off. Docklands which is about 5 mins walk from Spencer st has some nice self service apartments. I stayed here in 2005. http://apartmentsatdocklands.com.au/ If you want something closer to the track look at St Kilda/St Kilda Beach.
it can be paid out at a cost, the current Govt is well aware of that.Whats a crook like Bernie going to sue a Sovereign state, get real.
Hey Ernie...the F1 sewing machines only take an hour to complete their little pantomime...what the guys are saying is that there are other things to see and do in MEL. What else spins your wheels? aircraft? Food? Quilting? shopping?...lets us know
fine,i was going to suggest he might like to be a guest at ZAGs for lunch, the day we leave for tassie on the Mackie rally.
We get into town the Monday of race week. So Monday will probably be a recovery day from the flight over. But the next couple of days I would like to see the best of what MB has to offer. That and meet up with you maniacs. Any Aussie rules footballs game I could see?
The NAB Cup is on which is pre season. Here's a link, perhaps some of these dates fit in??? http://www.afl.com.au/nabcup/fixture/tabid/15297/default.aspx Was thinking your wife could go shopping either in Collins Street or Chapel Street on say the Wednesday and we could organise a drive out to the Dandenongs for a light lunch?
you are right. Adelaide was way better than Melbourne. However you don't have it anymore and we do, so we all have to make the best of it. And if it goes to Sydney, that'll be the end of it.
Hahaha i know the bloke in the black vodafone shirt Yeah thats a great stand, been there for 2 GP's. Lots of food and drink around the back and you normally get Mark Webber popping around there because his fan club normally have a box on top of one of the stands.
Your not wrong Gil,if the F1 comes to Sydney, that'll be the end of it,there's no space left in Sydney for a event that big,am i right?
