The combination of having the car and Sal means you were very, very lucky, but you've treated both very well, so I suspect you deserve both. Have fun with it. Looks like a great toy.

I see. Thanks for the quick reply.

Can't imagine, a car that old is still running that nice. Well restored and maintained car. :)

Looks like Sport Auto, you should drive it down through the Autodromo for old times sake.

That is sooooo cool! Gave me goose bumps!

I was lucky enough to have been in Maranello in May 2010, did the factory tour. Rented a 458 for an hour. What a 40th B-day, and a long held dream come true!

    Jim -
sorry if this has been already hashed out... but can you give up some specifics on your car?
    specifically:
    when did you purchase it?
    From whom?
Do you have the entire history of the car?
    any previous famous owners?
when you bought it, did you know this was such an incredible piece of history? (being pretty much the oldest one on earth).
any other details would be appreciated!
and when and where can the peanut gallery (us) come and see it at a show?!?!??
    thanks!

Absolutely Glorious!, thank you for posting. :)

I wonder if any of the locals had any idea of just what they were sharing the road with?
    (Highly doubtful I suspect!)

(On a more romantic thought, I wonder if the old Town had a smile on its face and thought:"Ciao vecchio amico, è bello rivederti!" ["Hello old friend, it's nice to see you again!"] )

I'd love to drive that into a Ferrari dealership and ask how much I could get on a trade in.

Wonderful car, great video. I wish the wind noise wasn't there. I still left the sound on for the brief moments of awesomeness.

    Hypothetical question:

You get pulled over for speeding in Modena. Do the Polizia give you--and more importantly-- that car a citation?

    I think not :)

    Excellent video, thanks for sharing!

Great video. Thanks for a look into how it must feel to drive a piece of history.

I noticed how they caught a red light, every time in the beginning. After that, there was nothing but green. LOL
