This is a public forum where everyone is allowed to voice an opinion that is why. I know you appreciate your local and statewide police but I am alittle curious as to why you are taking such a defensive stand for them when another LEO questions the safety factor in this confrontation? If you think I am the only LEO who has/had questions you would be wrong because I know for a fact that this incident is already being critigued by other law enforcement agencies. You are not in law enforcement so I do not expect you to understand the mindset we have and thats ok. So has any new news???
All I know are these cops are keeping me and my family safe and they get called "sloppy", and making error's for it..... I'd bet you wouldn't be saying that if interviewed on tv right afterwards?

Wow... so sad. Its a crazy world out there. I went to a Bucs Game two weeks ago, and saw a guy and girl arguing, I watched the entire thing (lasted about 10 minutes with the build-up to a minute of actual fighting). But when the police broke it up, I noticed they were going to arrest the guy, but it was the girl throwing all the punches, and the guy never touched her, he just had his hands up blocking his face. As they got ready to put the cuffs on the guy, I leaned in and told the officer what I saw... The cop stopped with his handcuffs and was putting them back on his belt.... when the young punk looked me straight in the eye and yelled- "stay the F**k out of my business, or I come for you next!" Me and the cop looked at each other like are you kidding me? And the cop pulled his handcuffs back-out and cuffed the idiot for making threats. I just laughed... this idiot was home-free until he opened his dumb mouth. Its funny, I've been in my own-little-world for a long time, because I don't go to night clubs or bars anymore. But coming into contact with today's rap star/pimp lifestyle youth.... I have to remember that the world has changed in the last 10 years.... so much for trying to help someone.
I got there just as the young teen was shot, I was 3 car's back when the guy shot him. The cops already had the guy surrounded before he killed the teen but could not return fire due to the children in the Tahoe. "I did not see him shoot the teen" in reply to the reason why the cops were moving back and forth I could not tell you. I had a clear view of the top of the Tahoe from my Tahoe and no one was advancing in either direction. The best I could guess is he started moving around again and they moved back to get cover when he finally put his hands up and gave up. I exited mt Tahoe shortly after and you can see from the video they had surrounded the Tahoe at that point. When I got there I originally thought the police had shot someone from the Tahoe and still had another suspect in they SUV they were trying to get out. I hope I cleared up any questions about what went on that day while I was there. Feel free to ask any questions I will try my best to reply with what I remember. They were moving forward then from what I understand he started moving again and they moved back to make sure they had cover. Once he showed his hands they advanced in and he was pulled from the SUV from the passenger side. At the point I stopped the video there were women crying all around me and I just left. I didn't even stick around to talk to the media. The fact I saw that young man laying on the ground dead was a bit much even thought at that point I didn't know he was a innocent bystander.
At the point the video was taken the Teen had just been shot and they didn't know if the suspect would start firing again.. They were busy making sure he was not going to open fire again.

This is all just too sad and even slightly surreal. My heart goes out to the people that lost their lives because of this. This guy is clearly deranged. Meth?

I have lost respect for humanity by now. There are too many people like this heartless bastard. I can't believe it. This guy deserves many very harsh beatings for this. These kinds of people disgust me.
Well, I was wrong... I helped a crash scene this morning, made me late for work. I guess it is just your nature and instinct to jump in when something goes wrong, to help. No fatalities this time......she'll be cute again once she recovers from the shock of losing her new BMW...it's up in the cactus...IMO a total loss.... No fire either thankfully, the Beer Truck driver was backing me up with a fire extinguisher.
Not necessarily as executions are down in Texas when they should be up 1K%. The scumbag will sit on D/R for years and have access to everything he did on the outside, why can't PROVEN killers be executed immediately???
Not quickly enough. Again, not quickly enough. Not slowly enough. This is Texas - start with .22 shorts at the extremities, and work inward. I'd have no problem with that, for this type of animal. But as Gregg says, start IMMEDIATELY.
