Thanks, it's nice being here at this forum. It's just a matter of time, but the head lights will be converted back to original. Whoever did the Jota conversion did a nice job, but it really is a sacrilege. It's one thing to make a complete and proper Jota replica off of a damaged car perhaps, another to do this. We really enjoyed making the video, these cars need to be driven not hidden.
Excellent. All Miuras should look as they were born and/or modified at the Lamborghini factory. However, I do approve of the SV rear wheels.
SV #4816 is in this week's Auto Express along with a Countach and Aventador. The article says that from the 200th Miura produced a Cross Member was added to the front and also that the windscreen became a stressed member from this car on????
I think they mean a 'reinforced' cross member plus thicker gauge chassis metal. Ive never heard about the windscreen being a stressed member of the car, but ...
Good to hear those head lights, very good to hear! Hope we could see another video of your car soon. Never get enouhg these classic Lamborghini V12 sounds, onboard.
So Joe, I know you've had at least 5 SV Miuras and I was wondering if you've had any P400 or P400S as well?
Well since you asked, here is more of a cruising one, maybe not as exciting..... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAaR7aOPw-I&list=FL5kwONPn1siwIZOwp3vlS2A&index=21&feature=plpp_video[/ame]
I think its this car.... 1968 Miura P400 Chassis #3426 Engine #1811 Prod. #162 27 Mar 1968 Originally Blu Miura/Beige. Photographed at Sant Agata by Russell Cowles in March 1968. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I doubt that the car on the picture is #3426, since the picture I have shows it with silver spinners Prod. #162. 27.3.1968, Dealer: MORANDI LUGANO (Giorgetti) Appeared on Motor August 1968 as Front cover Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sure, that's why I wrote "I doubt" instead "you are wrong", since we all don't know and try our best to identify them from these old pictures.
+1. Imagine seeing a Miura in the flesh in 1967. Must have been much the same as seeing a beautiful UFO.
