Anyone buy from them? On Ebay they are ranked perfect yet on BBB they have had 14 complaints, all resolved and I know that may not mean anything BUT over the years thier pricing is consistently lower than anyone's on high end stuff, from BMW,Corvette, Lexus, etc and even Ferrari; I almost bought a Maserati from them but when I called back it was gone, thanks, dog

Look through the Texas section, and you may find it easier.

They are stictly wholesalers that buy the cars at auction or from dealers, and then sell them. They make no claims to checking the cars out from what I hear. Seems to be as many happy customers as unhappy in the posts I have seen.

I would make sure a ppi is possible.

Keep searching, there are many threads on them.

I have bought from them before and I have no complaints years later.

Purchased my Phantom from them and had a small issue. They came to the plate - no complaints, no problems - and acted in a very upstanding and professional manner. Car was exactly as represented. I'd definitely feel comfortable buying from them again.

Like any dealer, ask questions, then ask some more. Almost everyone here in Dallas has been there. Spend the $ for a PPI at RUF (RAC) for a PPI or just fly down for a personal. Jeremy (owner) is a straight shooter and will show you the good bad and ugly. His prices are generally below market across the board. He had Shaqs wreck of a 456 for sale for a while as well as 13+ BRAND NEW QPs. Don't plan on getting a huge discound though.

I recommended Straightline to a friend who was looking for a Bentley Turbo R and unfortunately he bought it without a PPI (but based on a good writeup and phone conversation that it was a good, drivable car in excellent condition). When they rolled it off of the car carrier it had no brakes - zero!! He had it dropped off at a high-end shop that services his Ferrari and they also have a factory trained Bentley tech. The car is a total disaster with multiple problems that make unroadworthy - not just the brakes. The car arrived on Thanksgiving and he's about to deliver a quote for repairs to Straightline that's about double the value of the car. Hopefully they will just ship it back to Dallas - but lesson learned, get an independent PPI.

My father has is own car sales business & he tells every customer the same thing, that he does his best to go through the car before he purchases it & that its only as good as the way the previous owner took care of it.

Its not the seller's fault that a particular car is a potential bad apple, its how its represented. I think that Straightline Automotive does a good job representing a car, but its difficult for them to go through every nook & cranny of every car that goes through their door. Especially seeing as how large their inventory is.

They have a 360 coupe there that I wanted to go look at until I saw a thread in the 360 section mentioning the car had an engine that sat low in the engine bay, most likely from being airborne.

They still have the car listed as "excellent" etc. It is also listed on a salvage site for the same price.

Well said. I thought Straightline was something like a specialist in ex-lemon cars? How do we think they would get so many car at such good prices with so little mileage...
That being said, not sure if there is such thing as ex-lemon car. Maybe once lemon, always lemon.

A friend was interested in a CL 63 they have listed for $104k, said car was a little wore and was worth $90k tops. I guess most cars are worn pretty bad but with the prices they are asking you can't expect a vehicle in great shape.

I'd stay away from Straight Line. They misrepresented car's condition and mileage. They agreed to take car back, but socked me with a restocking fee. A legal suit would have been in order, but I don't have the time so decided to swallow the pill and lose a few thousand dollars. Communication was terrible. Still awaiting a refund and may file an insurance claim under my comprehensive coverage if they don't send refund.
Email for details if you'd like.

A lot of people seem to be talking like Straightline built the car that they were looking to purchase or purchased.

It`s simple, most of their cars are priced a bit less than the competition, therefore, they must be a volume dealer with low markups.

If you want to pay top dollar for a car at a Ferrari dealer that has been inspected and refurbished to the max then go ahead.

If you bought a car from any dealer for below market price, you should expect to have to put a couple dollars into normal wear and tear items such as brakes, tires or regular maintenance unless there are receipts showing the work was done. If you`re spending six figures on a car, a couple thousand dollars shouldn`t be much for wearable components - if it is, you should not purchase the vehicle in the first place.

If you`re worried about possible repairs then get a PPI!!

If you believe your mechanic who is telling you to fix every little thing that is wrong or could possibly go wrong on a used vehicle and it`s double the value of the car and you even consider it, you need to get your head examined.

Get a PPI before you purchase so little things that need to be fixed can be done before delivery or negotiate a lower price!
