Hi guys, I have had a number of inquires regarding Euro GT4 bumpers; there were several different versions depending on the series of the GT4. Initial ones were chrome and rubber and final versions were all rubber; some of the early ones rusted quickly and appear to be converted to fiberglass ones by the factory authorized dealers. I am currently molding the early version of chrome/rubber as a two piece mold with inners and outers for correct mounting; when done and the pieces are complete I will post them. COOL! The chrome outer nicely matches the glass trim. To me the rear benefits the most from a Euro bumper.
I would agree, the US version, they just chopped off some tail to fit the US spec bumpers mounted to GM shocks that weighed a ton
Hi did you get any further with this project,I am mid restoration and really ought to think about my bumper inner parts, Gareth
funny you should repost; yes, just finished the molds and lightweight inner mount molds this past week; Off to producing the first parts in the first week of the new year, will post when done, Cheers
You might check out Spectrachrome as a coating for the outer section. Saw their product at SEMA a couple of years ago and it is pretty impressive.
Great idea for the street; I am producing them for the track; have seen chromed fiberglass GT4 bumpers and they weighed as much as the originals.
Just bought a 1977 US 308 GT4 and I was wondering if you have the Euro bumpers for this car? Please e mail [email protected] Thanks
Mark - a legend in the Lotus world chooses the gt4!!! Would live to hear what drew you to the gt4! I've observed your Elise specials over the years. The us spec gt4 requires some body mods to fit the euro bumpers. A great place to see what is required I to look at the rear and front panels to fit the special bumpers. 308 BODY PANELS Superformance ferrari dino ferrari v6 ferrari v12 specialists 308 246 206 fiat dino 355 328 That is unless you already have a euro car.
