Easy fix for somebody who wants to save a lot of money and actually use their Ferrari instead of worrying about it's value.

Yeah, lots of body panels are scratched, but it should not cost more that 50k to fix??

One wonders what kind of collision(s) it was.

Looks like he slid off the road sideways into some bushes. Every body panel has some damage, the rear difuser is smashed. Most likely, the under part of the car has damage you can't see.

The lights on the dash say "suspension" and "ediff" failure. Most likely sensors but you never know. It may have suspension damage.

It's a total for sure. But, if someone wanted a cheap one for track use, it could be a good candidate. Someone will buy it for sure.

Looks like Manettino set to Race. Conditions could have been wet. A word to the wise?

That's why my cars only get driven hard in a "straight line." Most of these cars have too much performance for the average driver. Years ago I spun one of mine, and went backwards down an embankment, cost $10k to get repainted, very little body damage occured, just a little on rear bumper, but the sagebrush caused tons of fine scratches that could not be buffed out.

Sad to see. Anyone see the story about the guy that won the lime green Murchialago at a service station (Maverick), only to wreck it 4 hours after he won it? If you can't respect the capabilities of these cars, you really have no business owning / driving them.

They are saying it could've been done on purpose....he was told he won in Nov but was responsible for 100K in taxes (this is a man whos house was almost in foreclosure) and he was trying to sell it straight away.

BTW how much would a salvage 458 sell for?

Grigio really is one of the best color for the 458. With TDF, Yellow and Red...:D

Sure has a funny way of showing he wanted to sell it. I am assuming you are talking about the Lambo I mentioned. Should have had it trailered home, or straight to a dealer.

That is a easy fix as far as the body but some of the sensors that might it got damaged like Bob said would be very expensive given the year of the car and the rarerity(buying parts from Ferrari for a almost brand new car is an very expensive preposition) , they had one similar color with more damages to the front end at iaai.com auction site not long ago that sold if i am not wrong upward 200k with rebuilt title ( that car will end up in china) if they will sell this one for about the same price i will be all over it

You are right but if it has any suspension damages and how bad that might be the repair bill will be a little high ( it is not fun for the pockets ...lol to buy suspension and sensors from Ferrari) i feel this car will sell for around 200k anything less then that could be a really good deal for somebody

Id be interested to see and factor in the cost to build and prep to track or race compared to just buying a sorted 458 CH for 288K

How about frame damage....almost guaranteed it does. The car is now a parts car.

What is the definition of salvage in the US anyway?
In my country, totalled car is only when cost of repair exceeds the current pre-accident residual value. Certainly not the case here.
