So, my car is in 'extra campenello' or what ever its called. Trying to get rear carbon, carbon shields and alcantara inserts in the racing seats. But now! I'm thinking of doing white stitching??? Its a white car with black interior.

    What say you?

IMO, the white stitching draws too much attention from the eye. I chose Grigio scuro which is light, but not glaringly so. However, those pics look really nice. Unless it gets really dirty, if it becomes a bit off color, I don't think it will be very noticeable. Our choice!

Drooling...has to be the best looking interior I have seen on the 458! Love the stitching, esp if on a white car.

The Nero alcantara looks very classy.

I have seen nero interior with both white and yellow contrast stitching...IMHO, you can't go wrong with white stitching.

I have spec'd my car with black racing seats and went for the contrasting grigio chiaro (light grey) stitching. I intially was going for the white stitching but was concerned about the white marking so went for the grigio. Either way will be a very classy look esp if you can combine with some CF interior bits. The CF racing package is a must (steering wheel, paddles and tacho) then after that its personal choice. Not a fan of the red or yellow stitching as too much of a contrast rather than a compliment. Seeing you are getting the bianco exterior white/grigio stitching will look fantastic. cheers

I'd be pleased if my white stitching got dingy and the leather had a bit of patina. No plans to baby it. Let the next owner worry and polish, I'll be in a 458 Scud :)

anyone have a picture that shows the difference between special and regular deviating stitching? i ordered special on mine and was shown a sample that looks the same as whats been shown here. and now i'm concerned as LasseH indicates its LOUD.

nero leather w light grey stiching was my choice.

Don't worry, Special stitching is barely noticeable than Standard stitching.

Post #3 shows it in the last picture. One row is STC1, the other is STC2. STC2 is slightly thicker, and has a slightly different pattern. Unless they are shown side by side, one is hard pressed to be able to tell one from the other. I don't see how one can be described as "loud" over the other.

Thanks Derek & Dan for your clarification.

So safe to assume that stc2 = special stitching = slightly thicker and wider stitches

Once again truly appreciate the depth of knowledge offered on this board!

Guy's right. Although, you can make sure by not wearing somewhat dirty clothes into the car and this will alleviate much of this issue.

    You're welcome :)

FWIW, whenever I order a car with stitching I always order STC2. IMO it's a no brainer, especially since it costs the same as STC1.

I can verify that reflection, and with special stitching that would be worse.

IMHO special stitching is A BIT too loud, or let's then say that I just like the slightly more discreet standard stitching better.

This is nitpicking, yes, but I also prefer standard stitching's slightly more relaxed look because the individual stitches are longer and looser.

Some pics of red special stitching, just a bit too loud for my taste, but still not bad!

I got the Grigio Chiaro on red interior with a black dash. I got red stitching on the dash.
I hope it looks ok. Maybe a bit loud, but I think it will look way cool!
