I'm off to the track today and this time it goes into the night so I'm going for some backfires and brake rotors. Here's a few from yesterday. Trust me no one is showing their hand this weekend! Too much at stake. To showboat this weekend. I cant wait, the new DP's look great & unlike an ALMS field with 4 prototypes , the 24 hour is a 24 hour sprint race. Thanks for the great pictures
I made the 100th Indy 500 thanks to Ron's best seat in the house ticket. 50th Rolex? Can't go. Checking calendar. Can't go. Squeezing calendar. Can't go. Only significant US race (to me) I've never been to. Can't go. Looking at calendar. Wifey says go. Can't go. Best line up in years. If I can go I would sit here, but better act fast or it will fill up. http://www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com/Vanity-Pages/50th-Rolex-24/Champions-Club.aspx
Awesome pics! That Aston Martin makes a sharp racer but that pic of the R8 with the 458 is near nirvana for me. Thanks for sharing and keep posting! -4RE/AUDI Nut
It was a fun weekend and from what I saw the Rolex 24 is shaping up to be really exciting and shouldn't be missed. I took a few thousand pics but had the most fun roaming the garage with my hand held GoPro sticking it in all kinds of places to get unique perspectives. I even mounted it on a pole and captured the cars as they drove past. I'll post the video when I get it finished. Here's a few more pics and I hope they get you motivated to go. Thanks for the mention Peter. The BimmerWorld ST car is great this year and I think we will have a great 2012. Wish I could find a 24 Hour ride but it appears the GT field is filled.
Here's one of Travis behind the wheel. I don't know who was driving at the time but I saw this car get absolute sideways coming out of the International Horseshoe. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is my car. It is a fresh build and waiting for a wrap from one of our sponsors, CRC Automotive. The new livery should be on it for the Daytona race at the end of the month.
