I reckon this is one of the most ugly looking supercars launched in recent years, to my eyes the proportions look all wrong, the front is far too long and the wheel arches far too flared. Wonder why the motoring press have never driven one......

    Zonda for me thanks ;)

I agree. I don't get why everyone is lusting after this car. Those slats on the edge of the front bumper look completely out of place. Its the first thing I notice whenever I see pictures of the car and I think they look ugly. I sure its a brilliant piece of engineering but I really don't like the looks of it.

There's a nice little one page article in Autoweek Magazine about it - Nov 14 2011 issue. They were getting rides on Virgin Galactic's 2-mile runway in New Mexico. They indicate that by the end of this year 58 cars will have been delivered.

I also wouldn't call it beautiful, but it is interesting looking and I am impressed with the engineering artistry involved.

I think the car is brilliant and I'm doing some research into it now.

    Simply not true.

This rumor does the round for every supercar that is announced. It started with the F50GT, when the brother of the Sultan of Brunei bought one and asked about maybe getting a few more, resulting in the Bolide study. It was repeated for the Enzo, the Konigsegg, Pagani Zonda, P4/5, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Veyron Pur Sang, Saleen S7, etc., etc., except the "rich party" was switched to Saudis or Bahrainis or Kuwaitis or Qatari or UAE royalty--I guess a lot of people don't know where Brunei is located. Often people ask factory officials about having a one-off special, and when told that something needs to be produced in a batch of ten, or fifty, to be feasible, they ask the next logical question of how much it would cost to produce that many. Perhaps that is why these rumors never die.

There are lot of "princes" floating around in the Middle East. Most cannot afford to buy one Aston One-77, let alone ten. Of the few who can, and who are actually interested in cars, none would make such a flagrant, pointless gesture.

Ferrari did make more than 299 Enzos, so it could happen, I suppose, but it would take a LOT for Aston to diminish the exclusivity of the One-77 by making it into a One-77-nod-wink-88.

Sorry, typo. Meant to write 349. That's the "official" number.

That was the # for the F50. Enzo is "officially" 399 + pope Enzo.

I saw this One 77 yesterday. Click here to view the full MGM Gallery ...gallery of photos :)

I think it's one of the hottest cars on the planet.
I'm just not sure about the 1.8 million pricetag.
There are plenty of cars that do 700hp at a better price.
Obviously, this is an exclusive group the money buys.

Every car salesperson and factory rep in England seems to be in love with the wealthy Arab prince story and they trot it out for every new exotic car.

Aston Martin is not producing more than 77 of the cars. Period.

I have to say that the car has a really nice ass. The finest ass of any modern AM in fact. The front I get but I am not in love with. I think it's one of those cars that you have to see in person.
