I actually talked briefly to you but forgot to mention that i knew you from f-chat. The lighting is always good once there is a red cgt in the picture. I messed around a lot on the background and came up with this:

Let me know what you think, and if you want to see more of my photos
P.S. Your car is my new favorite car! It looks spectacular!

wow, thats pretty wild! did you photoshop in the shrubbery and background?
had the car out on 400 today for a bit up to the lake and back. it is amazing to drive. very pure and precise - no computer aided wizardry.

That's one of the greatest things about the car. How's the clutch coming? Did you ever get the hang of it?

getting a lot better. just takes practice. 6" diameter carbon ceramic clutch with no slip + very free revving engine = great for track. little tricky stopped on hill with anxious and oblivious soccer mom on your ass!

general consensus from porsche and most owners is to launch car by *slowly* letting out clutch and not touching gas pedal until its out and you are rolling. unless you want to fry $30K. the anti-stall settings in the engine management will keep enough throttle to pull you forward. this method does work (even on a hill), but is counter intuitive and slow as hell to get going. if you do it slightly too fast: stall. if you touch the gas: stall. you can try to modulate throttle/clutch pedal normally but you have to keep revs in very narrow band (say 800-900rpm) with the variable resistance of moving the car - not an easy task. little above that and the clutch shudders noticeably (doesnt really slip like normal, just grabs and lets loose over and over). obviously revving and dropping work as expected but somewhat violent with 612hp.

stalled it once yesterday for the first time in a few weeks - ironically while I was talking to my passenger about how easy it was to stall it!

and with all that - I love it!

I somehow was able to manipulate the photo to eliminate an ugly infiniti and a fire hydrant fromt the photo. I still was not satisfied, so I re-edited the colors and lighting today to come up with this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59051853@N08/6694833973/in/photostream/
And here is my final shot I will post of your car unless I see it again:

Yesterday, I saw a Drophead, Yellow 360 challenge, and a DBS at an auto detail place downtown but i got no photos. However, I may be seeing the Cinque Saturday plus 2 Koennigsegs, 2 Bugattis, an SLR, an SLS, and a 300sl at a private collection owned by a wealthy business mogul from Mexico. ( I do know a friend of theirs)

A private warehouse in North Miami. There is only a slight chance I will get in because they are normally closed on Saturday. Also, I will be at Cavallino!

Was wondering if I'd make this thread today. Took the 308 on a few errands, and while I was in a store I watched a guy in the parking lot taking a ton of pictures of it. Not you guys I guess. Oh well, maybe next time.

I figure if I could have gotten a buck from everyone who I ever saw photographing my 328, I could have retired by now! :D

Yesterday I saw a black Audi R8 Spyder (with top up) turning from Old Canton Road onto Roswell Road in East Cobb. Sorry, no photo.....

That's similar to what I've heard throughout the years on those cars. It's really strange that the gas makes you stall the car, since in most other cars it's a lack of doing that that causes it to stall. I wonder how many clutches the magazines had to go through to get a solid 0-60 time for the car.

I'm still new to it but it seems that pedal input disables the start/anti-stall program that keeps the engine in the 900rpm sweet spot during that process - if you happen to give it just the right amount for 800-900rpm you are good. any less = stall, more = bad sounds or wheels spinning. once clutch fully engaged you can whack the throttle all you want.
