    Allow me to translate;

    Ferrari has passed the FIA crash test with flying colors. The new results came after the rules were changed to allow for discrepancies last December. The new test process in Bollate (Milan) that resulted in failure in the first place has thus been revised. Long live Ferrari.

    Thanks.
    Nice to see an end to the world's smallest recall.

    Apparently Ferrari "simply" had to apply a few more layers of carbon fibre to the tub in order to pass the test.

    Also: Marca newspaper said there are unconfirmed rumours the 2012 Ferrari features a "revolutionary" design with a "dolphin nose".

    Now that sounds a little intriguing! :)

    Dominicali has spoken about how unattractive the car is.

    What can we expect from the new car?

    “It’s definitely different, because it represents a clear break with the past in terms of the design philosophy. It’s not that pretty, because the shape defined by the technical regulations does not leave much scope, but, and this is what counts really, our hopes are that it is at the very least quick! I asked our engineers, as far back as last summer to look into every little nook and cranny of the rules to push it to the limit, but up until we see the other cars we will not know if we have taken it to the limit or are within it. Then, to really understand the hierarchy we will have to wait for qualifying in Melbourne: we must always bear in mind that the times one sees from testing are not always what they seem. At Jerez and the two Barcelona tests, we can get a rough idea but nothing more.”

    This will either make or break them. It's going to be an interesting year for Ferrari. I'm really looking forward to this one.

    I wonder what they mean by 'dolphin nose' though. I see two possibilities. It could mean very rounded and nearly equal or even equal radii on both top and bottom sides from the tip of the nose, or the nose could have the feature I just mentioned along with a bump in the nose where a dolphins nose meets it's forehead (sorry, I'm not a marine biologist so the vernacular escapes me).

    Thank you guys.

    BTW, i've seen a pic of sketches of the new Ferrari nose. Looks very much like a dolphin. Sutil must be happy :D

    I'll take function over fashion any day if it translates to a WDC or a WCC. Glad they are thinking that way as well, keeping my fingers crossed for results.

    That looks nice, but it was made by a random Spanish fan. It´s pure fantasy, not based on real data or information from insiders. If the real thing looks like that, it would be just a coincidence. He made it just for fun and posted it yesterday in a Spanish forum. Interesting how fakes go around the world in these days of Internet.

    There's no way it would be designed like that anyway. The airflow attachment issues beyond the nose cone would be horrific.
