Cotto-Margarito II should be a good fight regardless who wins.

I just got done watching the Alvarez-Cintron fight, man Canelo is a beast when he lets loose! He was just too much for Cintron. I wonder who his next big fight will be against. Post fight interview, when asked who he wants to fight next, Canelo mentioned Mayweather.

I love his style, if you can even describe his style of fighting, but I don't know if he's quite ready to take on Mayweather. He definitely has power, speed, and patience. With the whole Mayweather/Pacquiao avoiding each other, we may see this happen.

A lot of people also want to see a Alvarez-Chavez Jr fight, and it will probably happen sooner or later, but some also say they shouldn't match up them just yet, as they are both rising stars.

That fight was stopped too soon. I like Canelo allot, but he is in no way ready for Mayweather. Chavez, Kirkland, Margarito, and Cotto would be good test's for him.

Two other rising stars on the under card, Gary Russell, and I especially like Adrien "the problem" Broner. Both have incredible speed and power. Broner looks like a mini Mayweather the way he tucks his chin on his shoulder, and keeps his right hand on the side of his head. If he can take a punch, look out, this guy is a guaranteed star.

BTW. It looks like Mayweather Pacquiao is really going to happen. Arum and Ellerbe fielding investment offers to stage the fight.

After watching the Alvarez vs Cintron fight, I feel that Canelo would have a TOUGH time against Chavez Jr. Chavez r. is far ahead of Canelo. Mayweather vs Canelo would be no different than the Mayweather/Ortiz.
Broner was AWESOME!!!! I enjoyed watching him.

    Heya mate,

I don't know sorry, I never got around to watching the fight. I totally forgot about it.:eek:

Here is a little vid/interview with Green. They said Green was winning on the score-cards which could have made for a good fight.

Wlodarczyk has a good professional record and is a tough customer from what I read leading up to the fight. :)

How bout Froch vs. Ward this weekend. Pretty big fight. I don't expect much fireworks, because Ward is just not going to get into a war. I think Ward will win a decision, but it won't be easy.

^^^ Same with me. Ward just needs to stay away from Froch and box to a Decision.

Gotta bump this thread every once in a while even though not much going on. BUT, last night Mayweather called and talked to Pacquiao about the fight. Mayweather is really pushing for it now, and I mean hard. if that S.O.B Arum would get out of the way I believe it really could happen on May 5th.

WOW. Too bad boxing can't deliver fighters like Salido and Lopez more often. And to think it used to be that way all the time. That it can't is the only reason MMA exists.

I just watched the fight this morning, sure was a great fight. Both fighters put up great performances. The ref shouldn't have stopped the fight though, we were robbed of a great KO.

Well I have to disagree about the stoppage, and I never do. Lopez would have gotten seriously hurt if Salido was waved back in. Now the first fight is a different story. Stopped way too soon.

It was great though wasn't it?

    Anybody watching the Mayweather-Cotto fight?

I'm more interested in the Canelo-Mosley fight.

I guess. I hate PPV though, it's always a rip off. Cotto is a very good fighter, but Mayweather is great. I do think Cotto will win some rounds though.

Mosely will get blown out, I really expect Canelo to stop him.

Going to the theater, $17.00 and an electric atmosphere. I think the fight will be exciting for about 4 rounds, then Mayweather takes over and carves Cotto up. Unamimous decision, or late round stoppage.

    Did you enjoy the fight??

I didn't catch it, but I also thought it would go 12 with Mayweather winning easily on points.

Yes, pretty good fight. Cotto tried hard, but Mayweather is just too hard to hit cleanly. I was surprised at the effort Mosely put out too, but he was routed.
