Atenzione Tifosi: Rusty at Maggianos South has offered reserve/Ferrari only parking at Saturday's feast. He would like an approximate count of how many spaces to cordon off. In return he would like a photo op so he could show off the F cars in front of his restaurant for a newsletter. He is well aware this is all weather permitting. Please advise.
If it starts at 6:00 pm, then there will be little daylight remaining for photo-ops, even if everyone arrives promptly. In this regard, we should have these events earlier in the day so we can take a good look at the cars before drinks and dinner.
Some of our events during the year are daytime. Roland's BBQ, Spring Fling Lunch, etc. But it is always nice to admire the cars and take pictures at any event.
The forecast is shifting the wet weather more towards Sunday now. I will bring my car if weather permits.
It seems as the week is progressing the forecasts are getting pushed back as well. With a little luck we might pull it off.
Hello Friends, we'll not attend the diner, it's to far for us and even with the offer of hospitality from our pres.Jim Walters and Kent Miller, it would be very hard with our Wolf (getting very old ) to leave the ranch. Have a glass of some liquid in Enzo's health in also to all our members and especially for Marc Busley who was moved to a nursing home. Have a great time Roland PS. I will think about you while pushing snow!
Weather channel says rain/snow starts Saturday Evening. Right on the edge for now. Roland, bring that big Excursion and Wolfie. He should fit in it.
Checked the weather again. I am optimisticaly going to uncover the car and fill it with gas tomorrow morning.
Please tell Rusty that I was treated very well by the Valet staff. They were top notch. Why didn't anyone else bring their cars?
Mule, it was raining at my house at 5 so I didn't bring the F-car. Didn't want to drive back in possible snow. Jim, I am looking forward to the Recon missions. We should plan a time to go sit down with Bill O. this week. This is going to be great.
It was foggy and wet my whole drive up from the Springs, and two sets of flurries on the way back (glad I left a little early after dessert). The weather was heading NE, so it actually dried out in Denver. The head Valet said he would come tell me if it started to snow (again, great Valet staff). I guess the Alaska license plate on my car adds snow traction. Actually, the new Goodyear Eagle F1's were great in the wet on the way home. Maybe I should get my wipers fixed, though. In fact, the restaraunt and staff were so nice, that I am going back for dinner next week. Great evening all around.
