Looks like the Ferrari Racing Days event will be held one week after the ALMS races at Laguna Seca. http://www.laguna-seca.com/ferrari-racing-days-0 The 2011 event was alot of fun especially since we had so many guys in "our" group. Let's try to increase the group size for next year's event. ALMS May 11 & 12: http://www.laguna-seca.com/american-le-mans-monterey-presented-patron
Hi Todd, Sam, and All: Monteman and I were talking about this event and I think it will be fun to do it again. I'll be happy to organize and let's keep this thread alive for the eventual sign up list. Sometime in January or February I'll contact the hotel and block off our rooms. 5 more months to go! Merry Xmas guys! -Greg
If a some want to spend Thursday night on the central coast, I would be glad to do a bar-b-que at my house.
Getting a head start does not mean a thing when you are around Sam... lol As always, it is a pleasure finishing second behind you buddy. You just might see us early. Merry Xmas
This is certainly a great event. I went to a Ferrari Challenge day a few years ago at the Infineon Race way a few year ago where they had six FXX raced. What a sound I tell you.
Haig, Greg, Sam and all, Merry Christmas, Happy holidays. Looking fwd to a great 2012 spent with my Ferrari buddies... Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Sure would be nice if "Ferrari Racing Days" had an event for racing the 348 Challenge car that Vince and I have.
Sam, I was in your backyard this morning. Took a drive up the 154 to Zaca Canyon, Zaca to Foxen, Foxen to Palmer, Palmer to the 101. We'll have to add this route to next year's caravan out of SoCal!
can you at least give the group 10 minute head start? lol, we know you will catch up with us and still finish first...
In hopes all are recovering from Turkey / Ham overdose ! Greg ...glad to coordinate and assist with the SoCal Group ... we will of course provide a personalized mug for all participants ! For those of you who have their memento post a picture ! Maybe we can all vote on a " quote " ? I've still yet to figure out how to rotate pictures .... my apologies ! Hi Will, last year there were no on-track activities for attendees on Friday or Saturday, but on Sunday one of the NorCal Ferrari dealers arranged for a parade lap session for their guests. Half the fun is actually on the drive up there with 30 other Ferraris! Here are some highlights from last year courtesy of Rick from Urgetodrive.com. (Viewers: Video footage is played back at 1.5x the normal speed. No traffic laws were broken during the filming of this footage.) http://youtu.be/FG-dvZvfjlM -Greg
Will they allow spiders on the track? So far all track day events I have tried to go to have banned me. :-(
Its only a parade lap or two taken at moderate speeds behind a pace car. Its more of a spectators event. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
