    I recently changed the oil filter on an AMG Mercedes of mine. I was rather surprised when I opened the Baldwin filter box. In bold print on the wrapper it said "Made in China". I have used Baldwin filters for many years. This is the first instance of Chinese origin. The design of the drop in filter was also considerably changed.

    Interesting. My recently-installed B253 was stamped "Made In USA". When I get home, I'll have to check the ones that I bought for my Honda. I would like to think that SOMETHING isn't being out-sourced. *sigh*

    In the same order I bought a few for my Acura. It is metallic and stamped with "Made in U
    SA". It's probably the same filter as you have for your Honda.

    Those that I bought for the Honda are also stamped "Made In USA".
