Sorry, I forgot to put the scale. It is 1/12th scale. He has some 1/32nd scale photos on his photobucket account that show an amazing full scratchbuilt 312T you should also look at. Great builder that posts on automotive forums ofcourse. He writes zero English but does speak Spanish. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012
I am doing the 1952 Mille Miglia Fangio 1900 Touring lightweight Alfa Corse car in 1/24th for Ferrari Expo using my soon to be printed Scale Designs decal sheet. Here is the car so far. It uses the rather nice Quattroruote 1/24th scale diecast with hand laced wire wheels added. The 1900 Touring lightweight is slightly different as it has no trunk, smaller doors and slightly shorter rearend. It also has no lips on the wheelwells. I also drilled out the front vents and deleted the bumpers like on the real car. More photos coming. Also the 1900 TI Quattroruote 1/24th diecast based PAN AM model I am just starting that will also use the new Alfa Mille Miglia/Pan Am Scale Designs decals. I am timing it so that they debut at the Expo again, along with a copy of the Porsche 356 Pre A sheet in 1/43rd scale to promote the Ferrari Expo. Here's that Audi R8 that I showed the rims being de-chromed, along with my Tamiya Aston Martin, that I opened the doors on, both 1/24th plastic, assembled and painted by me. Oh, I also did a California closed top, Ciao, Dennis Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Sometimes I like to improve (IMHO) the models I buy. Mostly small things that bug me. For example last year I bought the 206 SP Dino by MG Model Plus. It's great for this kind of model (resin, non opening parts, no chassis or engine detail). But the size of the tires didn't seem right. They were rubbing against the wheel wells. Also the rear wheels were pushed out too much. So I've exchanged the tires with some spare ones I had lying around and shortened the rear axle. The front tires are from a Kyosho 308 and the rears are from a Kyosho BB. They also have a more satin texture and more roundness in the tire walls. I've enclosed a before and after picture. Peter; hard to say from the different angles, but honestly I like the upper ( before ?) better. Especially at the rear the tyres now seem to be too small. I would have altered the suspension if the tyres protruded too much. Best Regards from Germany Martin
Yes it is hard to see on pictures but the old rear tires made it look like a tractor! The whole car was slightly tilted forward and is now level. The rear tires are still fatter than the front ones, this doesn't show well in the picture. If you look at pictures of the real car there's also more space around the tires in the wheel wells. Best, Peter
I just finished my first 1/43 scale Tameo kit. Ferrari 312B driven by Jacky Ickx in GP of Belgium 1970. Maybe not ideal kit for a firs 1/43 scale kit, but i think i managed quite well. I was amazed how well this kit is engineered, there were practically zero fit issues, and castings were so clean that i think most larger scale kits are a lot harder to build. -Niko Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I grab some time once in a while to work on this, an Airtrax 250 PF coupe. I've filled some pinholes and primered it. What a handsome car. If I were to paint it today it would be maroon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pretty car model. Airtrax really do nice work on these Ferrari models. Can't wait to see what they do next!! I am working on their Lusso now, but won't finish it in time for this years Expo. Airtrax would really make me happy if they did a few 1950's Ferrari speciale body roadcars. I love those one off 1950's Ferrari works of art. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 17th 2012
