COUN-TACH COUN-TACH COUN-TACH!!! read it as TO-GA TO-GA TO-GA shouted by John Belushi in Animal House
Nice deal Emilio. It is reassuring to see ANSA still alive and doing new genuine exhaust. Curious, how do they well it? via a site, dealers,... ?
Yeah, It seems that way. The carb seems to have taken off in about a 1 year span... The 5000S are the one which made the biggest jump in a surprising way.
I should also mention here that an Ansa F1 Sport exhaust in mild steel sounds COMPLETELY different from the various items that have been produced in recent times in stainless steel. To my ear the mild steel units sound deeper, more melodious and combined with the carb whistle they are just fabulous.
so true imo it is the most appropriate sounding exahust for countach on a side note, a friend of mine put one on his white FI anniversario and was amazed at the difference and how similar the car sounded to the euro carbed variant you can hear the sound on youtube i knew it!
I never recommend changing colors of classic Lamborghinis to off-beat non-factory colors. It always looks tacky & shows a certain lack of good taste, is inappropriate & unnecessary, and shows little respect for both the original artisans & the work of art that is a classic car. IMO.
Emilio thanks to you my Anni with mild steel ANSA sounds fantastic. I would recommend it for all Countach variants including FI.
Hi all, Here are some pictures from the German magazine Sport Fahrer, edition June 1980. I think this is #1120022 again, but I'm not sure, because it has plates from Japan... Does the steering wheel look familiar to you Lars-Erik? So was it ever in Japan? Ciao! Hi Raymond, Any idea's on the yellow LP400 on the right? plates start with BL, just like the Walter Wolf car. Could it be #1120080? Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
As Peter points out, lime green and blue leather were in fact factory colors for the SV model (although not usually combined). My point was, if changed they should be a color used on that specific model. As I said, "IMO". I should also point out that restoration of 5064 was my first ever and I'm on record as saying it was a mistake to change the colors at all. I have been involved in almost a dozen other restorations to some degree since, and I have remained faithful to leaving well enough alone as it pertains to original livery.
However, the factory used different shades of blue than you used for 5064. You did not make a mistake regarding #5064. Some years ago this was a famous livery that helped to bring the Miura SV back on the stage. Still today, it is a phantastic - IMO clearly non-original - livery that I like very much although I would choose a classic livery in case I owned a Miura P400, S or SV.
True, part of the reason I regretted the choice and it made me a believer in original livery ever since. Experience is a good teacher.. Here is the Countach S in green. Its not the iconic lime green Lamborghini used for the Miura. Car is in Tokyo by the way. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of Tokyo, here is a car there that I know you will appreciate Image Unavailable, Please Login
