I'll dare say that a 355 driven daily with regular maintenance will give far less problems than one kept for the occasional use.

Have the F355CH and a '97 E36M3. The M3 spent the first half of its life on the track slowly being turned into an all-out track car, when I realized I'd better stop and just get the Challenge car already. So it's the all-track car and the half-track car in the garage....both of which I am struggling to let go of, just because they are both so damn fantastic.

    I agree with Eric,

I drove an e46 M3 (2005 Vert) for 5+ years and they are night and day compared to a 348. 348 is a really a car you drive, not just ride in.

Had E36 M3 - 1995 Dakar Dinan car. Sold it after I got my first 348. I regret it, but as nice as that car was, a 330i ZHP is a better car and the E46 M3's are a hoot. Currently have a 330i convert and a 528 sport. In search of a 335i to mod into a daily driver/track car sleeper. If you want to practice driving your Ferrari, an M3 is a pretty good surrogate.

My 03 E46 M3 was my first sport car, and it is still the one I love the most to drive around curvy roads. The acceleration, breaks, suspension, etc..all work well together and deliver an amazing amount of fun and confidence to toss it around. The 308 is a different car, but one day I will get a 355 or 360....just need to make room in the garage.

We had an E46 M3 until it suffered an engine failure at 8,000 miles due to a connecting rod bearing failure. Dealer bought it back from us for $2,000 less than we had paid, and was unable to sell the repaired car (with new engine) for over a year. I was not a fan of the SMG and wished I had ordered a traditional manual.
