I like it, but would have went for wrinkle paint instead of gloss.

    Very cool front brakes.
Who made the hats and caliper adaptors??
IIRC, the 360 calipers have 38-42mm pistons, which is one step up fromthe standard 308 brembo big brake kit, (36-40mm).
How are you adjusting for the relatively weaker rear brakes??
When i put 360 wheels on my 308, i found the stock wheels to be 7.5 fronts & 10.5 rears. Can you tell us how you are doing the adaptation?? I agree that the 360 wheel is a good look on the 308.

    looking good !!

That is a mean looking 914. What engine are you using??

The rear frame looks like it will not flex much.
Do you have a link to the 914 work??

I had a 72 4 banger with s front brakes and 6 rear brakes, (identical to the 308 rear set up), and a 2.4 lightened engine with a front mazda cooler, big bars, Koni comp shocks. and 8 inch wheels with slicks - a real slot car.

    curious,
    chris

The AN fittings are 45* Let me know if you need any AN fitttings, a local speed shop was going out of business and I bought all of his aeroquipe fittings for penny's on the dollar.

As for the front brakes, I got the hats and rotors from a fellow F chater. It took a lot of machining to make it all work. I'm using a tillman brake adjuster. I found the 360 front calipers on craigs list for $300.00

I am using BBS 80mm wheel bolts in the front and 80mm in the back that press into a 1" wheel spacer. The spacer is bolted to the hub. To make room for the rims you have to use modern coil over shocks. I'm using QA-1 race shocks that I purchased on ebay for $230.00 I bought the (paper waits) from a fellow F-chatter to make it all work.

    The 914-6 has a 3.2 or a 3.8 turbo!

    Intake looks sweet

Esp. The fuel rails and tbody.
Are you gonna finish the cam & belt covers to match?

I thought I saw a turbo behind the motor of the 914:)
    real nice projects.

Nah, too much red. That being said I have seen natural aluminum with red highlights on the cover that looked pretty good. There are pictures of this somewhere on the site. If I can find them I will repost them or the link. Found it, the cover looks ceramic coated but you get my drift.

    I have to respectfully disagree.
Red covers to match the intake, and even red wiring looms would have a dramatic visual effect against the black paint. If the car were red, I'd likely agree with crowndog. But with the black, every time you open the lid, the red is gonna exaggerate the motor and attract your eye to the 'heart'.

Your $$, your car, just throwing it out there.
I can certainly understand your anxiety, tho!
