To be fair, isn't the rear end of the P4/5 a modern interpretation of Ferrari's own 330 P3/4 from back in the 60's though?

great styling !!, imagine a small 'dino' roadster with the same up and down curviness of the body lines !! - would be awesome.

New Dino- super curvy body, <1000kg, ~350hp, V6 like the new Formula 1 rules, won't hurt Ferrari's production quota limit as it's 'not a Ferrair'- in name anyway. Possibly 2.8-3.0L NA. Yes please. I'm dreaming.

Ferrari will never do it because don't need it, they sold 7195 cars in 2011

Hey Jim, do you think the current P 4/5 body style will allow the performance one would expect from a super car (e.g., acceleration and top speed) ? Doesn't its current downforce conflict with that?

Curious... could you estimate the fastest ring lap time for the current P 4/5C configuration (V8) without restrictors? How about the current P 4/5 configuration (V12)?

The FXX isn't a road car. Any manufacturer can make a high revving naturally aspirated engine, but it doesn't mean it will work for road use. There's a reason why high strung NA engines don't last long in F1...

An engine like the one in the FXX has to be detuned before being put into road use. As such, we are quite far away from seeing naturally aspirated 1000 HP engines.

I for one would be very sad if the Dino name was brought back, lets leave that piece of history alone.

Not quite so! In Europe you can homologate an FXX for road use! There are a couple in Italy and Switzerland, terrorizing Veyrons...

Indeed, no need to bring that back. Small Ferraris is a contradiction in terms nowadays. This is Alfa Romeo and Maserati turf. Ferrari builds supercars. The end!

The end is quite possibly the least appropriate statement in a forum, particularly when you speak for the grand total of one.

As for Ferrari only building supercars; you only need to look at their current line up to see that isn’t the case.

I agree was Alfa’s turf. Perhaps the 4C, with its carbon tub, will fit the bill.

And yet Ferrari had no qualms about bringing the GTO and California monikers back from the pages of history.

It seems that automakers today are freely tapping into their past; see Ferrari with the California, Mercedes Benz with the SLS Gullwing, Porsche with a lot of their models, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari resurrects the Dino name once again.

Still a little insect like but it is kind of hot. Reserve judgement for the final product but I like the curves.

They need 7.3 litres just to make 800hp, sorry not impressed at all.

Why do they keep making such enormous engines? ... just don't get it.

No question that we paid homage to the P 3/4 but the cue from
the area of our Rain light is not P 3/4 but P 4/5.

Enzo Successor engine is 6,3 litres. 7.3 litres is fake.
