There is no question that car is just stunning..I dont even want to think what the cost was to get it there..nor the down time to acheive it..
32893kms - incredible. I thought it has only 16k kms. 17k kms since delivery to your premises - now that is a trip for the record books.
I just took the S2 out for a drive..boy what kick in the pants..brakes are solid, EVERYTHING works, even the radio and EVEN the electric passanger side mirror WOW LOL I can fell the clutch starting to slip at higher RPMS, so that will need to be replaced. I did have a leak down and comp test done and it was EXCELLENT, so no issues with a motor rebuild or the like..new plugs, did a tune up, it fires right up and signs along the road this morning.. NOW, the question is, where do I go from here..do the clutch and leave it as is, or spend money on it..and if so how far and how much restoration to do to it.. It is just kinda wierd, I like looking at the "enjoyed" interior, even the spyder cracks, as all CT cars have in the regular places..just seems such a shame to cover up old world craftsmanship... DANG I hate decisions LOL LOL
so you see, 16K KMs in 30+ years and now 17K KMs in one day! countach = fast car!! Looks nice but as Joe says, it sit high, perhaps this was done to save the bottom of the car. the Roma countach is my favorite, have to say it looked good with the white side aswell. Then, after reeding about 56.003 posts i can tell the S is upsidedown on the black S2 but don't get me wrong, nice car!
fix the clutch and leave it as is! There are too many restored ones running around and not hardly any honest original ones imo!
I would say new leather in black, make the rims gold and get it as low as possible then tinted windows and have a mistery cannonball machine
I think your explanation that they were bolted on the fly & landed where they landed fits perfectly with my blasted at lunch hypothesis .
Yes, indeed they are not even in exactly the same place from left to right (driver side versus passenger side) !!
So did I. 32,893 km = 20,438 miles. 32k km is not one of the lowest mileaged S2s around as Roy stated earlier, but it still is not many miles when you think of how old the car is. At 32 years old, this car was likely exercised regularly because 1,000km per year is a fair amount of Countach driving if you ask any Countach owner. So it's a good thing that it wasn't sitting around for 32 years but was fairly well used. I agree that this car can be classified as a 'driver', and anyone who buys it can enjoy it on the road with continued regularity.
It was mostly a matter of patience & persistence, more than a question of money. Having said all that, it brought more than any S1 ever has. All told the restoration took about 18 months.
The only good period images taken when the cars were new, that I could come up with that illustrate an S2's stance. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gorgeous, an interesting interior color choice, someone didn't want to let go of the 70s! I think the only things you need to put on it are a clutch, springs and miles.
Not exactly a low body but a LP400 with Wolf like wheel arches, during the 80's some cars got these add ons. I have no idea where this car is today nor what happened. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks to Emilio for getting this info on my S2 Low Body.. car is countach n° 293 color nero - panna Lamborghini SA Swiss 26.03.1981 so exterior is original shade for sure and should be also the interior interesting enough interior is noted as "panna" that translate in noun-cream-sour cream panna should be a "yellowish" white ...but who really knows with lamborghini of period?? on a side note i looked at the LP400S registro and panna interior is common to other 3-4 cars the nero - panna combination is very rare, 2 cars from what i see, but not unique Emilio ciao Emilio

Very cool, you should ask him about the color, bet there is a story to it. Bruno PARATELLI Anagrafica Indirizzo Via Mantova 237 A 44049 - Vigarano Mainarda (FE) Tel. 0532715242
B. Paratelli is one of the original interior maker great find Roy i would not touch interior and body personally i would refresh the mecanics, correct the small details and keep it preserved there are a lot of restored ones, few originals around i think he is 70 now...i know for sure he is still making lambo interior as we speack, countach most
So, after playing with it this week, after giving a nice bath..I just decided the car is just to nice and all orginal to screw with..I think it's history and orginality need to be preserved. It is so much fun to look at it and talk about it with people here.. I put the orginal wheels with it's ORGINAL P7 tires back on it. Took it for a nice 5 mile drive (under 40MPH of course) with it's tires, just to enjoy what it was like back in the day.. Love having it here in the showroom. I will leave up to the next owner to decide what they want to do, but for me, I think it just needs to stay as it is, in all its orginal glory..AND it fires right up, no smoking and a purr of the motor through it's no restrictive orginal exhaust YAHOOOOOOOOOOO Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
