    Last night my 360 started making either a rod/lower engine noise or very loud lifter noise I shut it down and pulled it off road. Anyone have any ideas?

    Only answer I could responsibly give is get it towed into your Indy or Stealership. They can manually turn the engine to diagnose etc...

    I had it taken to a local independent andy Falbo great guy! He is supposed to send an oil sample to the lab and let me know what I am dealing with. I hope it is "reasonably "expensive

    Having worked in an oil analysis lab, I have found that single samples don't always tell the whole story. Multiple sampling gives a better picture whether or not wear metals levels are stable or are increasing. One idea would to have Andy cut open the oil filter and remove some of the filter media. The excess oil can be removed by placing the filter media in a paper towel and pressed in a vice. Learned this method from a CAT mechanic years ago and was amazed at what information could be obtained from the filter

    - if engine noise is 'audible' .... there's no point to things like oil analysis ... it needs to be turned by hand and then opened up.

    Just an update i had 8 collapsed hydraulic lash adjusters (lifters) i did the job myself and my friend also a tech for Ferrari, replaced all 40 costs $82each about 3200.00 plus all gaskets and seals and misc fluids 1400.00 hooked my buddy up with one of my guns as a thank you for his help. Car is able to be driven with no noise! Priceless!!!!

    Damn glad it worked out for you, what causes said collapsed lifters?

    They collapse over time. Ferrari no longer sells the lifters they rebuild your lifters its about a 1.5 month turn around unless the dealer has some in stock. I was also told there is special oil additive they put in enzos and 599s that helps keep the lifters pumped up and if the car sits for a while. The additive is 80 a bottle.
