They are not even running a new engine, I doubt it has anything to do with engine mount. Perhaps something to do with suspension.

Apparently I was mistaken and I have no problem admitting it. I thought it was only Singapore and Bras. Still, MB's best finish of the year was 4th and the points weren't even close so I don't understand why such a comparison is being made.

Still awaiting a technical reason as to why F2012 is brilliant from Tifosi12 : D Other than some romantic Ferrari notion that they will never slip into the 80s slump again, which many believe they have now.

I'll sweeten it for Tifosi12. Stop posting on fchat if Ferrari is beaten by MB. I'll do the same if the opposite is true. End of 2012 decides.

Mclaren and Red Bull are just neck and neck with one another. Both just completed a full fuel load run. Both on soft tires

Both Vettel and Ham are still on race simulations. Hamilton was able to keep Vettel at bay nearly the entire time but Hamilton was on worn mediums which pretty much forced him to yield the position to Vettel. Moans and groans lol

15:09 Vettel shows no signs of following suit as blasts by and on to his 86th lap of the day - and his 40th of this run.

Bulls are showing some strength. Ferrari need to get moving on sorting the car!

However, reports from turn 1 everyone stating the Mclaren is slightly quicker on the throttle and has better turn in. Both have good braking stability.

Ferrari need to get with the program. McLaren looks really strong too (ugh) but let's remember that the 150 Italia mirrored McLaren's results for this test last year (put in a ton of laps, looked great but margainally slower than RB) and was slow as hell in the first race so who knows....

Yeah, F150 looked really good in testing. Very solid and balanced. And F150 was not a bad car, not hardly, it just needed evolving and a bit more aero.

As a side note, Nico had the quickest S3 by a couple tenths today at the beginning of a 13 lap run on hard tires. Sounds like they are taking it easy out there with W03. S3 is a very downforce reliant section.

Put in 75 laps before lunch, too. Solid. Is there a website where I can see sector times for the day?

Ferrari supposedly putting on new aero parts this afternoon...I have a bad feeling about this car. While RB and McLaren are out there doing race sims the F-guys seem lost.

Problem is, I get the vibe that with the RB8 and MP27 doing race sims shows, at least to me, that the car is dialed in and they are adjusting WITHIN the car (setup). The Ferrari definitely isn't on the pace yet, so they are still messing around with components and things that fall outside of pure chassis setup. If they went for a race sim right now the times would probably disappoint us.

Benz has been the garage forever...wish they would go out there and pound out some laps.

Ferrari just went out and pounded a 1:23.1 , then the car ate its front tires and followed with a 1:24.1 and 1:24.8. That was on softs. He just pitted for supersofts so let's see what he's got in him for a quick run

The sector times are coming from a private source who works in Brackley. I wish I knew of a public place for sector times. Word is the Benz is in the garage for changes to the rear suspension and checkups on the hydraulic issue from yesterday.

Spot on! Ferrari want to start strong this year. Unless they start to achieve the runs RB and Mclaren have, those fears will be reality. Lets hope tomorrow yields something more.
