I had something similiar. Dealer gave it to a rim repair shop, perfect fix, $200.

Doesn't look too bad. Should be able to fix no problem. Good luck

Gotta be a sick feeling though. :-(

Big thanks. These are, I believe, OZ forged and would be costly to replace. Let's hope the rim repair shop can do it up like when it was new. I hope after the fix I can't tell :). Lesson learnt, never take any short cut when the 2 curbs make a narrow road. No way.

Well, to my sister and most, it's so minor and minute but to me, this is static art. We take pictures and like to do some photo sessions so it is very obvious especially when rims are matt black. IT's a bad feeling cos I care and take care of my belonging. Sometimes, it is not good to be a perfectionist.

A friend of mine had a brand new A4 and after 1 week had his wife's scratched the whole right driver side. He did it up but the paint job was bad and he wanted to sell the car... that sort of feeling is not unheard of.

I had one that even bent my wheel slightly because I hit it hard. Had it fixed very reasonably. The wheel came out straight as new and after painting it was no different than the other 3. Call Jonathan at RAC if you need to, because I don't remember who did the repair, but it was done through them.

My dealer fixed something like that for my F430 and it was about 200 at a local wheel shop. You could not tell when it was done.

Don't sweat it! It's a car -- and they can make it good as new. Try doing that to the human body!

I feel your frustration, but all will be well, perhaps cheaply via a repair as some have suggested. I have learned that any problem that can be fixed with money is not that much of a problem; it's the problems that can't be fixed with money that you have to watch out for.

LOL, do that everyday to the face and body but not for $200.

Look at it this way. You were the first to break in your car with accents to the rims :) Believe me, it will not be the last. Enjoy the road driven.

And be thankfull it was not your wife or girlfriend that scratched the rims first. Thats a little harder to swallow and may cause a little bit of yelling with a few cuss words :)

Very well said. Agree. If money can solve the problem, it is a good problem. As I always say, money can buy better care but never better health. Now if health is the problem, it is a real problem!

Bdelp, who makes these forged 5 spokes? I was under the impression that OZ was the manufacturer but I think otherwise after failing to find info.

    Who made my 5 spokes?

Admittedly, new wheels are cool too.

Out of curiosity, as far as I know, few cars around my town use aftermarket like HRE.

Despite a few did tell me that aftermarket wheels have much better quality. I wouldn't know. Any thought?

Consider it a right of passage.i understand your feelings, used to be the same. But now I just drive the heck out of my cars. Scratches, stone chips, are all now ok to me and if anything add a patina to the car... After all our cars are not classic irreplaceables but mass manufactured. Chassis bending accidents are the only thing now that would make me want to sell my car.

I feel your pain. I've curbed a couple of wheels on my cars in the past, and it made me sick every time. Hopefully they'll be able to repair them, it definitely looks like they should.

What he said. Easy fix. Take the wheel to a alloy wheel shop. You'll save $75 bucks as the dealer will just send it to the same guys.
