    LOL

One day in the paddock club I waited behind a tree to "ambush" Schumi II. He and his entourage were so baffled when I popped up on front of him that he gave me a sig.

Petrov in Abu Dhabi in 2010. Thought for sure he'd crash out at some point.

Two obvious candidates for best drives of all time-

    Senna Donington 1993
Senna Monaco 1984 being robbed of victory by 1 lap whilst driving a Toleman

Mr Moss was the man, at Monaco in 1961.

He had a 40 BHP deficit versus the Ferrari's of Phill Hill, Ritchie Ginther and Wolfgang Von Trips. (N.B. 1500cc engines, therefore he was at a great disadvantage) Tavoni, the Ferrari Team Manager, put out a sign to his leading driver "Ginther, Give All" but to no effect. Mr Moss was absolutely on a different planet to everyone else on that day, it was quite mesmerising to watch on the TV.

For the younger element amongst you, Ferrari in 1961 were at a peak only seen previously by the Mercedes team of 1955 ( i.e. Mr Fangio and Mr Moss, otherwise known as "The Train" )

    Excellent post.

Looking forward to more posts from you. This forum can certainly use a perspective that goes back more than just a decade.

I contend that Sutil in Monaco wasn't a surprise. He had been finishing in the top ten in a weak car. He reminded me of Kubica. You knew he would eventually have a break through season. It's a shame he doesn't have a seat this year. I think he is better than half the drivers on the grid.

Agreed 100%. I've already said that he should be in the Scuderia's 2nd seat

He had his moments where his talent really showed, however, they were far too rare. As the saying goes, he has a great future behind him...

    +1

It really ended when Di Resta came along. That guy is fantastic. Ferrari should very strongly consider him. Sort of Italian, and quick since his first outing.
