    Any reasons given?

I suspect they want to put a spare day in the bank for later?

    Cheers,

I heard yesterday's race simulation Michael did was very limited as mainly data acquisition. Nico's race sim today is clearly a huge step from yesterday as the lower fuel runs are 1.5-2 seconds quicker. W03 is looking incredibly competitive with the Bull.

A lot has to do with the below innovation which I am sure will be copied soon, but I believe MB have done a good job in hiding just how this extra duct in the back which increases the volume of the diffuser is blown. I believe it is blown by the starter hole but there are some other theories poking around as well

Agreed. The times are very good but they are still not up to the RB standard to the tune of up to 3 tenths. I believe they will be right there with Mclaren though

Hey guys, is the yellow tape on this pic some sort of data heat tape or something??

Edit: See post #20, page 1 of this thread.

Peter Windsor comento en 'Flying Lap' que Alonso ha vuelto a su inicial estilo de conducción, motivado por la nueva suspensión y Pirelli.

This could be promising. Don't read this Ferraripilot :)

No offense but Windsor isn't credible...I remember in Malaysia where he sat on the final turn and discussed how Hamilton was in an entirely different league because of his line through the corner...not saying Hamilton isn't fast, but Windsor latches onto an idea and promtes the snot out of it, so much so that it becomes reality

Yup. I remember reading some of his articles on driving styles when he wrote for F1 Racing, and thinking "WTF?!" Really bizarre theories about handling that ignored realities of weight transfer...

Down the main straight trap speeds from Friday. I guess the MB f-duct is yielding 4-5kph just as Whitmarsh said it would.

    Mercedes 320.5
    Toro Rosso 319.5
    Caterham 318.5
    Force India 317.5
    Sauber 315.8

I've been searching for that! I've heard Mclaren are quickest through fast turns while Red Bull is quickest through medium and slower turns. The Merc is very good in fast turns but has a soft front end for slower turns. I expect Red Bull to be very good in Australia while Mclaren and Mercedes will do well in Malaysia, especially Mercedes due to their top speed advantage
