Hi folks - I live in the UK and own a 1990 348 TS which is currently fitted with decat pipes and a stock single muffler box. However, I want to replace the decat pipes with some high flowing 200 cell cats. Done a bit of looking around and the ones that have caught my eye are (price for a pair):

Nouvalari over here in UK £650/$1018

Prospeed on their website for £762/$1195
    http://www.prospeedprestige.com/fer_348.html

or on ebay for £730/$1145 with "make offer" http://www.ebay.com/itm/FERRARI-348-HIGH-FLOW-CATS-CATALYTIC-CONVERTERS-/250782313812?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3a63ca6d54#ht_1781wt_1026

    Ricambi for £1017/$1578

    http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?cPath=175&products_id=208&osCsid=di530fs0n9nq1q7svpt2asou97

Obviously prices above vary and maybe quality (although very difficult to tell).

Anyone any experience good/bad with any of the above or know of any other sources? Not neccessarily looking for the cheapest - just don't want to pay too much for an identical product...

Mine is a 308 so doesn't really apply, just wanted to let you know that they were good folks to deal with and the price was good. it was a high flow cat and it sounds better then it did with stock OEM part. The finish was chrome but you can't see it so it's moot. Very well constructed!!

A company named Random Technology makes and sells highflow metal core cats. They are just the cores so you will need to have them welded up to fit your car.

Ernie - what do you use as a casing? or do they come in a casing and you just add the pipework fore and aft?

The cat/s come ready to weld to the pipe work. Though you will have to make the O2 sensor and thermocouple bungs fittings in the piping.

Ah right :) Do you have a link of where you cant get them from/any idea of prices?

I already have stainless test pipes fitted so could I recycle them to make each end to add to the cat "unit" (assuming pipe bores are same

Their website is http://www.randomtechnology.com/ however their site is down right now. The cats should be in the $250-$350/USD price range, but will depending on the inlet and outlet sizing. Being that you are in the UK they are "25% off" with the exchange rate. I would also look where you are as Some pretty good metal core cats come out of Germany. I think the one the companies is HJS. They are usually for high powered turbo cars, and they are NOT cheap. Those sell in the $500+ range.
