I was recently changing my 355 exhaust and when I removed the intake airboxes I noticed that all six rubber airbox mounts were dry rotting and cracking. Makes sense since they are located directly above the hot muffler. I looked them up on Ricambi and they are about $17/each. Not terribly expensive, but $100 is more than I wanted for pay for some rubber mounts.

With a bit of research I found an equivalent rubber mount for $2.81/each. I know the threaded studs are a few mm longer, but it doesn't affect anything. $17 is a lot better than $100!! :)

If anyone else needs them, I got them from:

    Advanced Antivibration Components
    Part# V11Z02MMMKA025
    Cylindrical Mount
    $2.81/each

Yes, but the OEM Ferrari mounts use rubber components that are hand moulded by Ferrari craftsman using techniques passed down through the generations, while the metal originated from a lone meteor that crashed to earth and landed in the Gobi desert eons ago. Oh, and don't forget the pretty yellow box. That's why they're $100/set. Just wanted to set you straight ;)

That part is a rough equivalent to shock mounts used in many various places on many Italian cars. There are several different part numbers that it will likely work for. An example might be the window lift motors on 348 or Lamborghini Diablo doors. The studs might need to be shortened in some cases.

I just ordered from advanced vibration in New Jersey and they were extremely fast and no tax or shipping and handling charges. Great service and I also ordered some shorter versions for clearance possibly . So in expensive why not.... It did come in a yellow envelope !

And look at that, they are even cadmium plated and much less likely to rust. Just waiting on the "well you might trust your Ferrari to a $2 part but I am having the dealership put in OEM ones" guy to post.
