Can anyone recommend someone to do a PPI on a Porsche Cayenne in the New York City area? Also, how critical is a PPI on a ~2009 Cayenne with 25-40k miles? I've heard some say don't worry while others say absolutely get one. Additional thoughts are welcome.... Thanks
PPI by qualified person is mandatory, along with all available records since new. www.formulamotorsports in LIC, right outside Manhattan is an option, so is http://www.manhattanmotorcars.com/.
+1. Most PPIs only cover mechanical condition (the shops don't want the liability of possibly mis-diagnosing paint work), so as long as the car has service records and warranty, I wouldn't worry too much about a PPI. I've had a bad experience with Manhattan Motorcars and a PPI, so I'd recommend finding another shop.
thank you for the responses. There are no service records available for the specific Cayenne I was considering and carfax seems to indicate it was serviced in 2009 and nothing recorded for 2010 or 2011, so it seems best to just move on. When I find something else, the PPI recommendations should come in handy, so thanks again
