I like the way F12 looks, but I'm not a big fan of the interior. The interior shares too many common components with the FF. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong the FF interior. In fact, I like the FF interior very much, for the FF! It's just I had originally hoped the interior to be dramatically different (more sporty) from the 458 and the FF. What happened to the great Recaro seats that we had on the 599??
Hmm, maybe the flagship Ferrari should have had a little bit more differentiated interior. Still cool, though.
Really? The steering wheel, the instrument cluster, the AC controls, the TFT controls, the radio controls are all from the 458. If anything, it steals too many parts from the parts bin of the 458.
What are the 2 arrowed buttons on the steering wheel? Hoping they are not push button shifters like on the 911.
A remarkable achievement. A few other random thoughts occur to me: 1. It looks like Pininfarina set out to create a female in wolf's clothing... and succeeded. 2. It looks like any aftermarket body mod will make it worse, but that won't stop them. 3. Is this the end of the line? I hope not. 4. Once again Ferrari has taken a new direction, but the 599, 575, 550 etc remain expressive and distinctive cars and very desirable. Any word on prices??
Being a 599 owner Iam happy that its nothing like it. I really want to see one in the flesh before I make a decision. I like the front and sides and overhead view but I cant yet convince myself to like the cut off/stubby look of the rear and rear itself. Do the rear lights cant inward or is it my eyes? I think like the FF things will fit together more in the flesh...Whats not to like with those specs!!!!! I think it will sell well.
I don't like the interior very much. The interior does not give a good reflection of the extrior IMHO. And too much copy of the 458. I completely agree with you bdelp, the 458 interior looks much better, and it work great with the exterior as well, especially with the sports seats.
I have noticed that Ferrari likes playing with body volumes. In the past they merged volumes along the horizontal plane (large frontal volume blending into a large rear volume looked at from above like an hour glass) in this exercise they blended two volumes vertically. Lowering one into the other. Interesting from a technical standpoint. Like most of Ferrari's designs they are ahead of the times and it will take old timers like me a while to catch up.
