Raptor.... I meant that very loosely. And I do understand "squids." Seen a bunch during my riding days. My favorite is watching guys on sportbikes tucked under the screen and I am passing them at 80 mph. Hum.....

I should have looked at your profile and saw that you do understand "squids." I also have muchas pistolas.

I could go on for hours about firearms. More of a long gun guy but do have some pistols. Everything I shoot has a silencer. Too bad Cali has strict gun laws.

Me, too, Zack. To be honest, the attention is my least favorite aspect of Ferrari ownership. I would never ask for a celebrity's photograph and just generally respect others' personal spaces. There are times when I simply want to enjoy the car and the drive by myself or with family or close friends.

I'll have to remember the line about it being my brother's car. Nice.

Ping, good luck with your decision. I don't know much about the Phantom. Have you considered a 612 if the GT's back seat is adequate? It's a more involving driver's car than the GT, IMHO.

Raptorduck, "Muchas pistolas" here, too: Glocks, Kahrs, Seecamps, ... But that's another thread in some other FC section.

Yeah those guys have the "gun" thread cornered over there. So i don't interject my input, but for a quickie here.... I am on a 300 Blackout kick. I have 10 AR-15 SBR 300 Blackout paper work in the hands of our fast and speedy BATF. And for you guys who shoot pistols, try shooting with a silencer. I find it more pleasurable.

I am going tomorrow after I pick up the RR from service to the Bentley dealer to do some more homework.

Hey, I am a biker (and cognizant of squid mentality and my own limitations) too! Mostly Kawi sportbikes, though I have dabbled with Ducks. And I love muchos pistolas of all kinds...though these days I am mostly on the wrong end as we are doing stick, knife and gun defenses in my krav maga training.

People ask me how come I have all these "cool" interests, and my answer is "Don't all guys have the same interests?" Guess not??! Glad to meet like-minded people on here!

You know I can't ride a bike anymore... had a bone graft and pins put in to fix a broken scaphoid from a bike wreck from 1998... If i damage it again I could be permanently sidelined from using my left wrist, BUT I might have to pick up the 1199s and put in my garage to sit on. If pics are correct, it will be a beauty.

Oh I can't resist.... Here is my newly built 300 Blackout I had built for my TX hog hunt trip in March.

No... LAR Grizzly upper with 8" Noveske barrel. Bushmaster SBR lower. Spikes BAR handguard and Gemtech Trinity can. But will use the HVT can for huniting. It fits inside the handguard. Will add a different optic. Aimpoint T-1 with GT-14 mono NV with Larue flip to the side mount. Will only shoot 220 Grain subsonic rounds.

+1. Must be fun to hog hunt in Texas with that beautiful piece. I grew up in DFW, Austin, and Houston. :)

Yeah I found a lodge out in Detroit, TX that is owned by a friends family. Its mostly bow hunting but they do allow firearms for guys they trust and if no other hunter out on property. I am turning 40 so my wife is sending me and a bunch of my friends out there. Wish DFW was closer so we could hit the town one night.

Yeah Robert showed that to me already but I don't want a GTC. Nice car though. He showed me the black XKR-S too. Beautiful car.

I need to visit Chicago again. When my cousin went to Northwestern, I used to visit every other month. Obviously not during the winter ;)

I found a Speed in the same color as your old Speed. Can you compare the GT to a Speed?

I won't highjack this thread with the Second Amendment, but I have mostly pistols (Kimber, Ruger, Berretta, S&W etc), although I do have the usual long guns (AR15, Mossberg 500, 308 sniper etc). I am most partial to 9mm, though I also have 45, 357 etc.

Yes, in Cali, in order to go to the range, I have to call the Governor and ask for a special session of the state assembly to get a one day license to take my gun out of my house, then bring my action open weapon under police escort, drop it off with a guard at the range, go back and get my ammo with the same escort, take one shot at the range, then turn it over to the police for safe keeping for the rest of my life.

Mine was Burnt Oak inside and out (doesn't show well in pic).
A bit quicker off the line and at speed and much, much better and longer lasting brakes (optional CCBs).
I put about 20k miles a year and destroyed my rotors ('07 GT) in barely 12k miles(lots of hard braking from high speeds).
Better throttle response (not as lazy as GT which drove me nuts),felt more nimble and less ponderous then the old car.

He was the nicest guy. I didn't have a spot but since my brother in law did I followed hoping a rider was a no show. Well everyone showed but he allowed me to help out with one of the instructors bike, (gas, rear stand) and I got to ride my R1 when he wasn't teaching. It was my first time out at Barber. By the way that track when it was first built was smooth and extremely fun to ride on. Did many late braking duals with the instructors several times.

I would love to own a second home out in Santa Monica one day but I have to say their gun restrictions kill me. I wonder what the regs are of me coming out to Cali with my assault rifles to do some hog hunting? I heard you guys have many wild hogs somewhere around mamouth mtn.

I remember a actor who lived in LA was turned away cause he tried to buy a collectors pistol from our local store. I felt bad for him cause you could tell he really wanted it.

How does the GT's ride compare to the Phantom? The Bentley GT didnt feel much different from a Mercedes 1/3 the price... Do you want a sportier(*rougher) ride quality?
