Anyone seen it in person/drive it? Haven't had the chance to get down there to see it. Would love some insight from those that have.

Great. I'm hoping that you have driven it more than the 172 stated miles on the car at algar. What do you love/hate about it? Has it been reliable or costly to maintain? How is it to live with on a daily/weekly/monthly basis (not sure how often you drive it)? Would you recommend it to others? Given the choice of the 8C convert of the 16M which would you choose (if you had to do it all over again)?

I have always loved this and the fact that is limited in production. I also love the 16M for the same reasons. Both are at Algar and only $10k difference in price.

I know the 16M you're referring to, I actually know the gentleman that owns/owned it. It's immaculate, and sounds phenomenal on back roads in PA. Scuderia exhaust is to die for.

Here is a pic of it at our cars and coffee:

Algar's 8c is flawless, I just don't like the proportions. I am very familiar as well with the 16M to which you are referring. It is UNBELIEVABLE. It would be a no brainer for me.

That car is really special and has a sound to die for.

I'm inclined to agree with you; the 16M would be my choice.

While they're both awesome cars, I think the 16M would provide a more visceral driving experience. It would also receive more attention, now whether that is a good thing, or a bad thing is up to the person driving it.

Do you know what he is replacing the 16M with by any chance? That is a pretty big gap to fill.

I have had mine since new in 2008 and driven it about 2500 miles. It is the coupe not the convertible.

Car is a blast to drive - lots of power, short wheelbase make it slightly more sprightly than a F430 based car. The F1 trans is like other similar systems: takes a little getting used to but once you know how it operates, it drives fine. Interior fit and finish is great. The sound of the exhaust in sport mode is fantastic.

The 8C's had some minor teething problems when new but everything has been sorted out now.

In terms of operating costs, I have only spent $ on the annual service, gas and insurance. No other costs.

Reaction from the public is always great. Always stands out in a sea of other red colored sports cars.

Probably one of the best looking cars made in the last 20 years.

Thanks for the feedback. I will have to just go down there to make my own determination. It sounds like good arguments can be made for both cars.
