F12 rear end?

funny. you assume everything is negative. dude, i own a 458 and ff! and other f-cars too and several 911's too. let's keep our minds open here. i was just asking a freaking question!

I actually apologise to some posters on this thread because I assumed-- incorrectly-- that it was a continuation of some other comments in different threads.

That was wrong.

 

I guess I am outvoted, but I am still a little unsure of the design.

Good Lord, hatchback or coupe, I could care less, I love the look of the car.

 

The car looks completely stunning. Subtle yet extremely aggressive. A masterpiece.

I was just about to post that link as well...nothing wrong with it being a hatch. Makes it more useful imo than having a small trunklid.

 

After a day off, I came back and looked again at the rendering and photos to recalibrate my impressions of the design. It seems to me that both front and rear views represent successful evolutions of the FF and the California before it. In particular the F12 has a much more businesslike rendition of the upturned eggcrate grill, and the rear is greatly dramatized and more neatly integrated than the FF.

But the real innovation is between the ends where everything else in the world just got ho hum. The air bridge leading from the hood, down the cowl, along the doors, and off to the rear is simply wonderful. When I went back and looked again at other front engine sports cars (e.g., the Aston Martin DBS and the Corvette), they now seem so ordinary.

 

My 944 was (is) a hatchback.

F12 looks great to me!

 

Bob, no need to apologize to the OP, Brian on the other hand is a nice guy. The OP is a Putz and has been banned in the 599 Section a few times for his constant negativity about the V12 Front Engine Ferrari's.

 

Very kind of you Tony but I do agree, I was incorrect in what I said in this thread.

I feel the same way, but every now and then they actually post something good. This unfortunately is not one of their good post
