If I had a 599 GTO I would not take the hit to go to a F12.

Neither would I. That's why I'm not replacing my GTO with the F12. May add an F12 down the road but certainly won't replace the GTO.

Another approach would be to make an appt to speak with a senior sales person at your dealership.

I would explain your interest in buying a new car and let the salesperson lead the discussion.
If you don't like the answer, make another appointment with the sales person and his manager or the owner. Again present your case. Since the F12 is a fairly expensive car and the economy is still fairly weak, there is room to negotiate. Customers do fall of the list- divorce, marriage, bankruptcy, moves, new employment , another car purchase, etc !

Making a bonus offer for a new car delivered by a certain time can be entertained.

Buying used cars you don't want and paying sales tax which doesn't add to dealer profit may not be the most efficient approach to achieving your goal.
