    This 348 has both front brakes dragging, particularly the front right. After checking that there is no problem with both brake calipers and that there is no problem with the brake lines, I've followed the procedure on page G-49 of the 348 WSM and it gives ABS error code 2.4. The table on page G-55 states "Valve or connecting wire defective. Defect in control unit (power transistor)".

    Has anyone here had this problem before? As I understand it, the "R" valves are not opening and there's no reduction in pressure, resulting in the brakes not releasing. That could be a valve problem or a control problem, but because the valves are inside the hidraulic unit, I can't really check them.

    Any ideas? I don't have problem with electronics, so if anyone knows how to reach the power transistor, please let me know. Can the hidraulic unit be serviced? Where?

    I had ABS error code 2.2. The car is still in repair shop. They replaced the whole Hydraulic Actuator Assembly. Not sure if it will solve the problem?

    That would mean the same problem, different wheel. Isn't the hydraulic actuator rebuildable?

    No one knows of a shop that can rebuild the 348 hydraulic unit?
    Nobody else here has ever had this problem?

    My mechanic still cannot resolve my 348's error code "22". I think I will just do a system reset myself.

    I finally was able to fix the error code 2.2 by myself. It turns out that when the car was the lift, the mechanic left the key in ignition, and then mechanic rotated the right front tire, which mess up the speed sensor reading. I just deleted the code and reset it per workshop manual. Problem solved.

    When you replace the Hydraulic Actuator Assembly you still have to reset the error code. Obvious question is: did you replace the complete Hydraulic Actuator Assembly and then reset the code, or did you just reset the code?

    About the reset procedure, are you talking about driving the car above 40Km/h? I believe that's what the manual says, but don't have it here with me.

    Well, at first, the mechanic assumed the Hydraulic Actuator Assembly was broken, so he replaced it. Then, he thought by unplug the battery and reconnect it will reset the ABS error code, but the error code still there. So, he put my old Hydraulic Actuator Assembly back and told me he couldn't fix it. After I got the car back, I noticed the test fuse was plug in the empty slot, which should have been removed to reset it. I think the mechanic doesn't know what he is doing. I followed the workshop manual delete and reset the code. Yes, the manual said you have to drive to the speed more than 40kph. My original Hydraulic Actuator Assembly works fine. Error Code 2.2 is not related to Hydraulic Actuator Assembly anyway.

    I have a number of complete used units.... out in the barn if you dont find a solution. These were pulled as complete pedal assemblies and left intact when I emptied out the barn load of 348 Challenge parts/cars/parts of cars some years back.

    PM me with a number of what you need and I will see what I have out there. The haystack is now down to the point where I can reach them.
